Good morning everyone, today I'm very happy to be a guest designer for Try It On Tuesday, the theme for their latest challenge is Trick Or Treat/Halloween.
I've made an art journal page.
I covered a page in my Dina Wakley journal with a sheet of Gecko Galz background paper and then I painted the edges with white paint. I printed a mixture of Gecko Galz and Mischief Circus images, cut them out and adhered them to the page, I added a little colour to some of the images with coloured pencils. The red moon's made of tissue paper. I used a Sizzix die for the crow and branch, for the cat and flying witch I used Cherry Pie Art stamps, the spider and cobweb are Inkadinkado stamps and the sentiment is a Tim Holtz stamp, I wrote Trick Or Treat on the roof. The image with the horns was just a head and shoulders so I used a silver Gelato to make him look like he had a ghostly body.
Thank you for dropping by to take a look, why not pop over to Try It On Tuesday to see the inspirational pieces that the design team have made. xxx

Busy Bees Art Journal Page
Good morning everyone, a lovely sunny start to the day here, I hope it is where you are. I have a journal page to share with you today, I’ve made it for the Art Journal Journey Flora and Fauna challenge.
I coloured the background with gelatos, using a baby wipe to spread the colour. I stencilled some hexagons with a Colour Box stencil and modelling paste, when the paste had dried I coloured it with some brown acrylic ink sprayed with water. I used Paperartsy stamps on the background. The beehive was stamped with a Woodware stamp onto tissue paper, I adhered it to the page and coloured it with Pitt pens. The Stampotique bees were stamped onto white card, coloured and cut out, I put some stickles on the wings. I added some remnant rubs and Carabelle Studio sentiment.
Thank you for dropping by, have a lovely day. xxx Hazel.

Dragonfly Journal Page
Hi everybody, I'm sharing a journal page with you today and I'm also entering it into the Art Journal Journey Recycle and Collage challenge.
I used one of the pages in my Dina Wakley joural. I started by making a collage of patterned paper, tissue wrap, music and book pages. I stencilled some modelling paste with a Crafters Workshop stencil. I added some colour with Gellatos and water letting some of the colour run. I dry brushed some Imagination Craft Starlight paint over the stencilling and added some white splatters. The words were stamped with an Artistic Stamper stamp. For the dragonfly I printed a Gecko Galz image, adhered it to some card and cut it out. I put stickles on the wings before adhering it to the page. Lastly I used a black pen to doodle round the edge of the page.
A close up of the dragonfly - you can just about see the glitter on the wings.
Thank you for visiting my blog, have a lovely weekend. xxx Hazel.

Good morning everybody, I thought we'd seen the last of nasty white stuff - it was a lovely spring day yesterday and today it's snowing quite heavily.
Rosie has chosen Spring for her theme at Art Journal Journey
Supplies used:
Gesso.
Gelatos.
Paper napkins.
Hero Art flower stamp coloured with felt tip pens.
Stampendous bird stamp and matching die.
Felt tip pens to colour the bird.
Script stamp - unknown make.
Black Archival ink.
Distress ink to edge the pages with.
Matte medium.
Below are a couple of photos of my tortoise Harry, last weekend he decided it was spring and got up after his four month hibernation. Looking at the weather today I think he might decide that he got up a bit too early.

Altered Playing Cards C and D
I've just finished the next two cards for the Maremi's Creative Cafe Facebook group challenge. For the letters C and D the words we were given were coffee and dragonfly.
I used an Impression Obsession stamp and Kaleidacolor inks for the background, I flicked water on it. I drew the mug and coloured it with felt tips and stamped some hearts. The mug stains are a Stampers Anonymous stamp.
I used a stencil and modelling paste on the card and painted it with gesso. I coloured it with Gelatos. and spread some micro bead gel, when this dried I used my finger to add some gilding. The dragonfly was coloured stamped, coloured with felt tips and cut out. I put stickles on the wings and a metal game pointer on the body. The quote was stamped with an Artistic Stamper stamp. No idea who made the dragonfly.

Heart Journal Page
Before I share today's post with you I would like to say a big hello to my new followers, lovely to have you join me.
Today I'm sharing a journal page with you, I'm linking my page to Art Journal Journey, I'm hosting the challenge this month and I've chosen the theme If Music Be The Food Of Love.
Here is my Page.
The pages in the journal that I've used are very thin so I gave the page two coats of gesso, when this was dry I coloured the page with Gelatos, spreading them with my fingers.
I used a heart stencil and a baby wipe to remove some of the colour, the word love is also a stencil.
I stamped some script on the page and stamped round the edges with a Dina Wakley heart stamp.
I splattered the page with white paint and used a white pen to put some dots round the black hearts. I stamped the two main hearts onto a book page and cut them out. The stamps I used are Elusive Images[Chocolate Baroque]. I glued the hearts to the page and added a couple of red gems.

SPA - Orange
Orange is the theme for this weeks Sunday Postcard Art challenge.
I made the background of my postcard sometime last year using Gelatos and a PaperArtsy stencil. I used a baby wipe on the stencil to take away some of the Gelatos.
I put some orange Magic Colour Liquid Acrylic at the top of the card and sprayed with water so that it ran down the card, when this was dry I turned the card upside down and did the same with green Magic Colour. I used a pen to outline the leaves. I stamped the PaperArtsy tulip onto card and coloured it with pencils and felt tips, I cut it out and went round the edges with black ink and glued it to the postcard, then I stamped the word tulip.

Another Christmas Canvas
It's time for the December challenge at Mixed Media Mojo the theme is Sentiment and the twist is NOT to use red of green.
For my DT piece I've made a Christmas Canvas.
I used the same technique as the canvas on my previous post.
I covered the canvas board thickly with gesso and made marks in it, the tiny stars were made using a very small star icing cutter.
I scraped acrylic paint over the dried gesso.
I used my finger to spread some Treasure Pewter over it.
I decorated it by gluing some gauze to the bottom. I embossed the edges and the gauze with shabby white Frantage enamel, I also used it on the star. The words were done on the computer and die cut, I went round the edge with some distress ink and matted them onto die cut black card. I edged the canvas with Gelatos and a damp brush. I added some glass stars.
Here is a closer look at the star.
Thank you for looking at my project, please take a visit to the Mixed Media Mojo blog to take a look at the beautiful things that the rest of the DT have made.

Africa and Egypt Deco Pages
Good morning, I hope you all had a good weekend.
I'd like to share with you a couple of pages that I made earlier in the year for the KCUK deco book swap.
The background is acrylic paint swooshed with water. I stencilled the Tim Holtz rays stencil with glass bead texture gel mixed with orange acrylic paint, when this had dried I stamped the tree and animals. The figure was stamped onto white card, coloured in and cut out before glueing to the page. The letters are sticky backed ones from my stash.
All the stamps used are Clarity Stamps.
The background has been coloured with Gelatos. I stamped the main image onto the page and onto white card, I coloured the figure with felt tips and cut it out before glueing to the page, the beatles were stamped onto the page and coloured with felt tips. I coloured a piece of Stampboard with Versa Magic chalk ink and stamped the image.
I've no idea who made the stamps.

SPA Challenge - Fruit
I'm thrilled to be hosting this weeks Sunday Postcard Art challenge, the theme I've chosen is Fruit.
I used Gelatos to colour the background. The frame was stamped and embossed in gold, I stamped the large pear onto a book page and coloured it with Gelatos, the small pear was also stamped onto a book page and coloured with Gelatos.
The small pear and frame are Inovative Stamp Creations stamps, I don't know the make of the large pear and background stamps.

Mixed Media Canvas Board
I can't believe it's September already and time for another challenge at Altered Eclectics, as always the theme is Anything Goes but it must be Mixed Media/Altered Art - no cards are allowed.
For my DT piece I've made a mixed media piece on a canvas board.
I started by covering a 8" x 8" canvas board with bits of patterned paper and giving it a light coat of gesso.
Then I added some coloured acrylic paint.
I then used some texture paste with a stencil and painted some gesso over it.
The canvas board was then coloured with Gelatos.
I stamped the leafy branch onto the board and stencilled some tiny pink circles, I also stamped some postmarks. I stamped the leafy branch, flowers and bird onto some of my Gelli prints and cut them out, I adhered them to the board, I also added some Remnent Rubs and the quote. I gave it a coating of Multi Matte Medium.
I finally added more colour to the leaves, flowers and bird with Faber-Castell Pitt pens.
The stamps I used are;
Sheena Douglas - the leafy branch, flowers and bird.
Hobby Arts - the quote.
Postmark - unknown

April Showers and Umbrellas
Good morning all. The project I'm sharing with you today is for two challenges.
The Craft Barn's April Calendar challenge, the theme is Blue and Umbrellas.
The Mixed Media Monthly April Showers challenge, I took my inspiration from Mr Umbrella Man.
I coloured the background with Gelatos then stamped the small Stampers Anonymous Umbrella Men. I die cut the large Umbrella Man out of one of my Gelli prints and stamped some sript on him. I mixed some turquoise brushos with water and let it run down the page. For the quote I used a Doo Lally Pip stamp.
