Good morning everyone, today I'm very happy to be a guest designer for Try It On Tuesday, the theme for their latest challenge is Trick Or Treat/Halloween.
I've made an art journal page.
I covered a page in my Dina Wakley journal with a sheet of Gecko Galz background paper and then I painted the edges with white paint. I printed a mixture of Gecko Galz and Mischief Circus images, cut them out and adhered them to the page, I added a little colour to some of the images with coloured pencils. The red moon's made of tissue paper. I used a Sizzix die for the crow and branch, for the cat and flying witch I used Cherry Pie Art stamps, the spider and cobweb are Inkadinkado stamps and the sentiment is a Tim Holtz stamp, I wrote Trick Or Treat on the roof. The image with the horns was just a head and shoulders so I used a silver Gelato to make him look like he had a ghostly body.
Thank you for dropping by to take a look, why not pop over to Try It On Tuesday to see the inspirational pieces that the design team have made. xxx

Art Journal Journey - Magical Mystery Tour
Good morning everyone, I'm so happy and thrilled to be hosting this months Art Journal Journey challenge, the theme that I've chosen was inspired by the Beatles song Magical Mystery Tour. Imagine there's a magical bus or train or whatever mode of transport you choose and it's there to take you on your mystery tour - it could take you anywhere, into the future or the past, into one of your favourite books, a country you've dreamed of going to, anywhere your imagination takes you.
I've chosen and old red London bus as my transport and for my first tour it whisked me away to see the sights of London - I wonder where it will take me next.
I painted the background with gesso and acrylic paint and stamped some images onto tissue paper and glued them to the page with matte medium. I printed some photos of London and stamped some images onto white card, I cut them out and glued them to the page. I gave the page a coat of matte medium and when it had dried I used my pitt pens to colour the tissue paper images.
I hope you can to enter the challenge - thank you for looking, have a great weekend. xxx Hazel.

Halloween Postcard
Good morning all and a big welcome to my new follower Carol, it's lovely to have you with me.
Halloween is the latest challenge at the Speed Craft Challenge, they have changed one of their rules, you now have 15 minutes to make your project instead of 10 minutes. It's nice to have a bit longer but I still didn't finish in the time.
I sponged distress ink on to the card and splattered with water, after drying it I stamped and embossed the skull and sentiment. I made a mask to cover the skull and stamped some crackle then I took some colour of the skull with a water brush, then I edged the card with distress ink.

Halloween Journal Page
Today I'd like to share with you my Halloween journal page - I had great fun making it.
I'm linking it to the following challenges
Artist Trading Post - Halloween.
That's Crafty - Spooky.
Order Of The Opus Gluei - Ghostly Goings On.
Make My Monday - Halloween.
Haunted Design House - Hellacious Halloween.
I started by painting the page with gesso and then I used an Andy Skinner skull mask with some modelling paste. When everything had dried I sprayed it with different colours of Dylusion ink. I used an orange Zig felt tip pen to make some flames at the bottom of the page. The bats and web were stamped straight onto the page, all the other images were stamped onto tissue paper and glued to the page. I made a wash with black acrylic paint and water and painted it over the skull, when I mopped up some of the wash it took some of the inks away and I rather like the effect it had on the skull.
The stamps I used are
Stampotique - the spider.
Inkadinkado - the two graves at the bottom of the page, on says "I'll be back" and the other one says "Holy smoke, it's hot down here.
Cherry Pie Art Stamps - bats, skeletons, gravestones,

Inchie - Song
Song is the theme at Every Inchie Monday this week. I wasn't sure what to do so I looked through my stamps and found a couple that I thought would fit the theme.
The background bird stamp is part of a Crafty Individuals stamp and the mains image is a T J Designs stamp.
I didn't get time to share my inchie with you last week so here it is now, the theme was Pocket Watch.
I used a Cherry Pie Art Stamp of the rabbit from Alice In Wonderland looking at his watch. I stamped it onto shrink plastic.

Nevermore
Time for another CRAFT ROOM CHALLENGE. This week the theme is Black and White.
I started with a black card blank that was white inside and I used a Martha Stuart punch on one edge so that the white inside showed through. I then stamped and embossed Edgar onto a piece of white card, punched out the top edge and wrapped some black thread round it then I attached it to the card blank. I then stamped various images onto another piece of white card and attached this to the card blank. The Nevermore was stamped and embossed onto white card.and then matted onto black card, then I printed the verse from the poem on my computer and matted it onto black card. The birds were die cut with a Tim Holtz Sizzix Alterations die.
All the stamps that I've used are Cherry Pie Art Stamps.

Yellow and Blue Alice
This is my first entry to the Altered Alice monthly challenge, the theme for this month is blue and yellow and it's being sponsored by Artistic Outpost.
I started by stencilling some flowers onto some card. I used mustard seed Distress ink and a stencil that was free in Simply Homemade, then I went round the edge of the card with faded jeans Distress ink. I coloured all the stamped images with Promarkers except for the clock, I coloured that with Distress ink. The clock is hanging from a Tim Holtz Sizzix Alterations hanging sign die cut that I'd coloured with blue Promarker. I used a couple of brads to attached the clock. Before attaching the cut out images I attached a piece of a page from an old Alice book. I also tore out the first verse of Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee's poem and attached it
to their image. I added a piece of ribbon to the bottom of the hanging.
The stamps that I've used are
Non Sequitur, Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee, the Rabbit and clock.
The Cherry Pie Art Stamps, Cheshire Cat and Alice.

Mini Alice Hanging
I made this for a mini hanging swap over on UK Stampers.
I started with a 3"x3" piece of mountboard, then I found a page with the Cheshire Cat on in an old Alice book and stuck it to the mountboard. I dabbed on Viva Ferro over the leaves and when it dried I dabbed on various colours of Viva Gold. I stamped the cat and Alice onto white card, coloured them with Promarkers, cut them out and double embossed them with clear embossing powder before attaching to the hanging. The white rabbit and Tweedledum and Tweedledee were stamped onto shrink plastic and coloured with coloured pencil. After I cut them out I put a hole in so that I could hang them from the wire.
The stamps that I used are
Cherry Pie Art Stamps, Alice and the rabbit.
Non Sequitur, Tweedledum and Tweedledee.
I'm not sure who made the Cheshire Cat.

Chunky Alphabet Book P Q and R
First I stamped the flying boys and then masked them off. I coloured the background with distress ink then removed the masks and coloured the boys with Promarkers then I stamped the buildings across the bottom of the page. Next I stamped Peter and Wendy on to some white card and coloured them with Promarkers, then I cut them out and attached them to the page.
Stamps used:
Artistic Outpost, the Peter Pan images.
Crafty Individuals, the buildings.
I stamped the main image onto some white card and coloured it with distress ink then I cut it out and matted it on to the background, the background was some that I'd made a while ago, then I matted this onto some black card. I stamped the crown onto some gold mirri card then cut it out and attached to the page then I added the flower with a black gem in its centre. The word queen was a rub on that I found in my stash.
Stamps used:
Crafty Individuals, the main image.
Cherry Pie Artstamps, the crown.
I coloured the background with Adirondack brights. I stamped the image onto white card twice and coloured one of them with distress inks, cut it out and attached it to the page. Then I coloured just the rabbit on the other one and cut the rabbit out then attached it to the main image with some silicone glue. Lastly I attached an alphabet brad.
Stamps used:

I started of by painting the frames black, when this was dry I covered it in Eco Green Crafts glue then I painted the frames mauve and the roof orange. I dried it with a heat gun to get the crackled effect. The paints I used are Eco Green Crafts acrylic.
I coloured some white card with Distress inks and stamped Ma and Pa and the kids onto it. I took out the colour in their faces with a water brush. I stamped all the other images on to card, cut them out and stuck them to the front of the frames apart from the moon, this I stuck to the back of the frame. I made the words by putting a narrow strip of card through a Dymo and highlighted the letters with a white pen.

Chunky Alphabet Book G H and I
The stamp I used for the background flourishes is a Darcies stamp. I'm not sure what make the stamps are that I used for the main image and words. I stamped them onto white card and matted them onto black card. I added some gems for a bracelet and a ring and added gems all around the edge of the page. Wish I'd signed my name in a different place.
I stuck a strip of tissue tape [that I was never going to buy, not ever lol] to the top and bottom of the page, then I stamped Alfred [Cherry Pie Art Stamps] onto a piece of card that looks like a film strip and then stuck this across the middle of the page. The words are out of an old dictionary. Last but not least I attached a metal H to the page with a couple of brads.
I used a Xyron Design Runner for the words, it took me a few attempts to try and get them straight, this was the best I could do. I stamped the background with a stamp by Pink Cat Studio and I coloured the edges of the page with distress ink. I embossed the three ice creams [Personal Impressions] with a shimmery embossing powder and coloured them in with Promarkers, after cutting the images out I spread Stickles over the ice cream, when this was dry I stuck them to the page with silicone glue.
