Happy Valentines Day

Good morning all, I'm sharing a valentine card with you today.

I stamped and embossed the Woodware heart and coloured it with felt tips and a water brush. I splattered some colour onto white card, cut out the heart and glued it to the splattered card, The sentiment was done with a Dymo machine.

Thank you for taking a look and have a lovely day. xxx Hazel.

Faces ATCs

Before I share the ATCs I'd like to thank you for your good wishes for Josh. He's still tender round his injuries but is a lot better in himself.

I made the ATCs for the Paperplay July ATC swap - the theme was Faces.

For this ATC I sprayed some kraft card with dylusions spray and then used a mask and some modelling paste, when the paste had dried I went over it with some gold acrylic paint. The image was stamped on some card that I'd coloured a while ago, I wrapped some gold thread round it before adhering it to the background. The word was done on my Dymo.
I used a Rubber Stampede stamp for the image.

I stamped the face onto white card then made a mask to mask the face. I stamped the background and sponged some distress ink, I then cut the hair from the mask and added some more colour to the background. I removed the mask and made another to cover the ATC leaving the face showing and stamped the spots. After removing the masks I embossed some cosmic shimmer powder round the edge. I used my Dymo for the word and attached it with some staples.
The stamps I used are
Stampers Anonymous for the face image and the spots.
PaperArtsy for the background.

I coloured some card with Glimmer Mist, stamped some script, wrapped some gold thread round it and then matted it onto some black card. I stamped and embossed the image and adhered it to the background and added some gems.
The stamps I used are PaperArtsy.

The Birds ATC

The latest theme at Fun With ATCs is Classic Films, the film I've chosen is Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds.

The background was coloured with Dylusion spray and I dry brushed some purple and green acrylic paint over it, then I stamped the background images.
I stamped Alfred on to white card with Versamark and embossed with black powder. I fussy cut him out and adhered him to the background.
The words were done by putting a scrap strip of the background card through my Dymo machine and then I sponged a little black ink over the words.

The stamps that I used are.

Cherry Pie Art Stamps for the Alfred Hitchcock image.
PaperArtsy for the background grasses.
Hobby Art for the background birds.

Modes of Transport

The latest Challenge at Artful Times is Modes of Transport. For my card I've used the lovely bus on the  Stamps Away Pilkington Transport 1 stamp set. I've also used the Creative Expressions Plaid stamp and the small bus is an Artemio stamp.

The inks that I've used are fired brick and broken china Distress ink and black Archival. I edged a white card blank with the distress inks and then adhered a piece of Idea-Ology Kraft Resist paper to it. I attached some ribbon and stapled the small buses. I stamped the plaid pattern with the Distress inks and adhered it to the card. The bus was stamped with black Archival and water coloured with fired brick. I used my Dymo machine to make the Happy Birthday.

I'm entering my card in the following challenges
Artful Times challenge Modes of Transport.
Simon Says Stamp and Show some Layers.

CREATIVE EXPRESSIONS CALLING CARD CHALLENGE

One of my favorite craft companies CREATIVE EXPRESSIONS has a Design Team call at the moment so I thought I'd have a go. They have set a challenge for all the DT hopefuls that is to produce a piece of work that has an ATC somewhere on the piece. This is the card that I've made for the challenge.
I started of with a cream card blank and edged it with old paper and stormy sky Distress ink. For the background I coloured some white card with spun sugar using the direct to paper technique and then using a baby wipe I spread some broken china and faded jeans over the pink. I stamped the background using stormy sky and then went round the edge with stormy sky using my finger. I tore the edge of a piece of beige corrugated card and coloured parts of it and the edge with stormy sky, then I attached it to the background card, I wrapped a piece of string round it and attached the background to the card blank.
For the ATC I stamped the image onto a piece of spare background card then I tore the edges and went round the edge with faded jeans, then attached it to a piece of blue ATC size card. I stuck blue gems to three of the corners and a little bird charm to the other. For the words I put a strip of blue card through my Dymo machine and put a bit of stormy sky over the letters.
The main image and little birds were stamped with black Archival ink and I used Distress ink for the rest.
The stamps that I used are
Artistic Outpost, the main image.
Inkadinkado, the background.
Tattered Angels, the background.

First Craft Room Challenge Anything Goes.

Well, the big day has finally arrived, it's the launch of the fortnightly Craft Room Challenge and the first challenge is Anything Goes. A random draw will take place at the end of each challenge and the winner will receive £10 to spend with our sponser Craft Room. I hope you will join in the fun with me and the rest of the Design Team.
My first piece for the Design Team is a tag. I coloured the tag with blue and orange acrylic paint and stamped the dots with coffee Archival ink. I added a piece of embossed card that had been embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder done in my Epic 6. The next thing to go on was some corrugated card that I had painted with orange acrylic paint. The main image and sentiment tag were stamped with black Archival ink and coloured with Distress ink. You can't tell from the photo that I'd covered the main image with stickles. The 'say cheese' at the bottom of the tag is a narrow strip of blue card put through a Dymo machine and I put a bit of rusty hinge Distress ink over the top with my finger. I embellished the tag with a camera charm, some gems and ribbon.
Stamps used.
Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous, the main image and dotty background.
PaperArtsy, the sentiment tag.
