Flora and Fauna Art Journal Page.

Good morning everybody.
I've made a journal page for the Art Journal Journey Flora and Fauna challenge.

I coloured the background with acrylic paint and stamped some flowers with distress oxide. I stamped some script and added some splatters. I adhered some Alexandra Renke washi tape to the bottom of the page and some lacy material that has pink flowers decorating it. I stamped the Tim Holtz flower onto white card, coloured it with watercolour pencils, cut it out and adhered it to the page. Lastly I added some remnents rubs and word stickers.

Thank you for dropping by to take a look, have a lovely day. xxx Hazel.

Busy Bees Art Journal Page

Good morning everyone, a lovely sunny start to the day here, I hope it is where you are. I have a journal page to share with you  today, I’ve made it for the  Art Journal Journey Flora and Fauna challenge.

I coloured the background with gelatos, using a baby wipe to spread the colour. I stencilled some hexagons with a Colour Box stencil and modelling paste, when the paste had dried I coloured it with some brown acrylic ink sprayed with water. I used Paperartsy stamps on the background. The beehive was stamped with a Woodware stamp onto tissue paper, I adhered it to the page and coloured it with Pitt pens. The Stampotique bees were stamped onto white card, coloured and cut out, I put some stickles on the wings. I added some remnant rubs and Carabelle Studio sentiment.

Thank you for dropping by, have a lovely day. xxx Hazel.

Butterfly Make and Take

A few weeks ago I went to Ally Pally and did a great make and take with the lovely Tracy Evans using the stamps she designed for AALL & Create. I was really pleased with what I made and decided to turn it into an art journal page.

I'm entering my page in the Art Journal Journey Flora and Fauna challenge.

I made the background the same way as the make and take using gesso, AALL & Create stamps and stencils and distress oxides. I adhered the make and take to some black card and adhered it to the background. I added a couple of stencilled words and word stickers.

This is the make and take that I made.

Thank you for dropping by, have a lovely Sunday. xxx Hazel.

SPA - Crowns and Wings

Crowns and Wings is this weeks Sunday Postcard Art challenge.
Here is my card.

I covered my postcard with patterned papers and punched circles. I found the image in my stash, the wings are from Crafty Individuals and the crown is a remnent rub. The words were stamped with a Wendy Vecchi stamp.

Thank you for looking, have a lovely day. xxx Hazel.

Gothic Arch - Time

Good morning everyone, it’s going to be another beautiful day. I hope you’re all having a lovely bank holiday weekend.
I have a Gothic arch to share with you, I made it for a UK Stampers challenge, the theme is time.

I used Paperartsy Fresco Finish paints on the background and a Seth Apter circle stencil. The doll [Non Sequitur] was stamped onto card that I had previously coloured, I used pencils to add a bit more colour then I cut her out and adhered her to the background. I embellished the arch with remnent rubs, metal clock hands and a word sticker.

Thank you for dropping by to take a look, have a lovely bank holiday Monday whatever you're doing, I'm going to have a lazy day in the garden and perhaps a some crafting. xxx Hazel.

ATC Storage Box

It's the first of the month so that means a new challenge at Altered Eclectics, as always the theme is Anything Goes but cards and ATCs are not allowed.
For my DT piece I've decorated a box to hold some of the many ATCs that I've collected from people in ATC swaps.

This is the box before I decorated it.

I covered the box with gelli prints that I'd made a while ago and I painted inside the box.

I decorated the box with some lovely Alexandra Renke washi tape and paper that was decorated with butterflies. I made an ATC for the top with the paper and wrapped some gold thread round it. I cut a butterfly out of the paper and coloured it with a gold glitter pen, I also spread some gold stickles on the top, the photo doesn't show the glitter very well.

The finished box with some ATCs inside.

Have a lovely day. xxx Hazel.
