ATC Storage Box

It's the first of the month so that means a new challenge at Altered Eclectics, as always the theme is Anything Goes but cards and ATCs are not allowed.
For my DT piece I've decorated a box to hold some of the many ATCs that I've collected from people in ATC swaps.

This is the box before I decorated it.

I covered the box with gelli prints that I'd made a while ago and I painted inside the box.

I decorated the box with some lovely Alexandra Renke washi tape and paper that was decorated with butterflies. I made an ATC for the top with the paper and wrapped some gold thread round it. I cut a butterfly out of the paper and coloured it with a gold glitter pen, I also spread some gold stickles on the top, the photo doesn't show the glitter very well.

The finished box with some ATCs inside.

Have a lovely day. xxx Hazel.

Sweetheart Box

Hi everyone, I can't believe that it's February already and time for another Altered Eclectics challenge, as always the theme is Altered Art/Mixed Media, no cards of ATCs allowed.

For my design team project I've decorated a heart shaped box that had toiletries in it.

I covered the box with handmade paper, it's not a very good photo, the paper is a peachy colour not white.

I glued some lace to the side of the lid and embossed the chipboard hearts with Frantage embossing enamel. I decorated the box with a book page, lace, chipboard hearts, a Gecko Galz image. flowers and stickles.

The rest of the design team have made some lovely inspirational pieces and they would love you to visit the challenge to take a look or join in with the challenge.

Have a lovely day. xxx Hazel.

Altered Wooden Box

The first of the month so that means another challenge at Altered Eclectics, as always the challenge is Anything Altered/Mixed Media no cards allowed.

For my DT piece I've altered a wooden box.

I took the lid of the box.

Then I painted it with Decoart paint.

I then covered it with Imagination Crafts rice paper.

I coloured some card with decoart paint and stamped some Honey Doo flowers on it, I cut the flowers out and painted some distress crackle paint over them, the wooden bird was painted with the paint, then I added a metal clock charm and some metal flowers.

The rest of the design team have made some wonderful pieces and would love you to visit them to take a look.

Thank you for dropping by. xxx Hazel.
