Spring Journal Page

Good morning everybody, I thought we'd seen the last of nasty white stuff - it was a lovely spring day yesterday and today it's snowing quite heavily.

Rosie has chosen Spring for her theme at Art Journal Journey

Supplies used:
Paper napkins.
Hero Art flower stamp coloured with felt tip pens.
Stampendous bird stamp and matching die.
Felt tip pens to colour the bird.
Script stamp - unknown make.
Black Archival ink.
Distress ink to edge the pages with.
Matte medium.

Below are a couple of photos of my tortoise Harry, last weekend he decided it was spring and got up after his four month hibernation. Looking at the weather today I think he might decide that he got up a bit too early.

Thank you for visiting, have a lovely weekend. xxx Hazel.

  1. Beautiful journal pages. Same weather here :( Hugs, Valerie

  2. It may be snowing in your world, but your beautiful springtime journal entry is poignant. I love how you combined all the elements and created a perfect composition. Thanks for sharing this with us at Art Journal Journey, Hazel.

  3. Lovely sping pages

Thank you for sharing it at ART JOURNAL JOURNEY

    Have a wonderful weekend

  4. Your spring spread is amazing Hazel and we love to see it linked to Art Journal Journey! Thank you very much ! I love this amazing textures you achieved with the napkins - that looks very good and wow another AJJ participant with a tortoise! Your Harry knows for sure that spring is just around the corner - even though we have snow today ( here as well) the birds are building their nests and I am sure spring comes very soon! Your quote fits the weather perfect!
I love tortoises and would so like to have one by myself. Hugs to Harry!
    Hugs to you! Happy weekend!

  5. I love your journal pages Hazel. Lots of happy Spring stamping and the little bird is lovely.

Super photos of Harry. He's a very handsome tortoise. Is that a cuttlefish I see in his pen? We've had snow flurries all day but its just blowing about in the wind. Take Care. Barbxx

  6. I think Harry should have stayed in hibernation! We've got white stuff here again too, I'm sooooo done with winter!

  7. A gorgeous colourful page. The nearest to spring I’m going to get this weekend! Hope Harry doesn’t get too confused!

  8. A gorgeous spring spread Hazel, and lovely pics of Olive and Josie's little brother Harry! Xxx

  9. Lovely, bright pages - great spread.

Love the tortoise, too. My friend in France had one that was as old as I was - 36 at the time - she let him roam free in the house, which was so funny! Last time I visited, she had three little babies but I'm sorry to say they didn't survive.
Hope he's ready to really wake up!
