Hi everyone. Africa is this weeks theme for the Sunday Postcard Art challenge.
I coloured the card with terracotta brusho and painted the sun with yellow acrylic paint, I splattered the card with gold Kuretake watercolour paint. The zebra was stamped onto the card and I also stamped it onto white card, I cut the face out and adhered it to the card. I stamped the two silhouettes with black Archival ink. The large figure was stamped onto white card, coloured with felt tips, cut out and adhered it to the card. I doodled round the edge.
Stamps

Clarity stamps - figures.

Try It On Tuesday - Guest Designer
I was thrilled to find that a tag I'd made had been chosen as one of the top 5 in the Try It On Tuesday Book Pages challenge and I was even more thrilled when I was asked to be a guest designer.
For my sun postcard I used modelling paste with a Memory Box stencil, then I gave it a coat of gesso. To colour the background I used acrylic ink sprayed with water.
I kept adding more ink and water until I got the colours that I liked.
I stamped the PaperArtsy flower onto some white card twice, I coloured the flowers with the inks and cut them out, I glued one of the flowers to the card and then I cut the outer petals of the second flower and glued it over the first flower.
My moon and stars postcard was made the same way as the sun card.
I used a Crafters Workshop stencil with the modelling paste and used acrylic ink to colour it. I dry brushed some white acrylic paint over the top of the stars and then I added some stickles to the stars. The Clarity stamp moon was stamped onto white card, coloured with watercolours, cut out and attached to the card with thick double sided tape. I wrote the W. Clement Stone quote and added it to the card.
I have made a couple of postcards for my GD spot - the theme of the challenge is Sun/Moon/Stars.

Africa and Egypt Deco Pages
Good morning, I hope you all had a good weekend.
I'd like to share with you a couple of pages that I made earlier in the year for the KCUK deco book swap.
The background is acrylic paint swooshed with water. I stencilled the Tim Holtz rays stencil with glass bead texture gel mixed with orange acrylic paint, when this had dried I stamped the tree and animals. The figure was stamped onto white card, coloured in and cut out before glueing to the page. The letters are sticky backed ones from my stash.
All the stamps used are Clarity Stamps.
The background has been coloured with Gelatos. I stamped the main image onto the page and onto white card, I coloured the figure with felt tips and cut it out before glueing to the page, the beatles were stamped onto the page and coloured with felt tips. I coloured a piece of Stampboard with Versa Magic chalk ink and stamped the image.
I've no idea who made the stamps.

Sunday Postcard Art - Paris
Good morning everyone, I hope you all had a lovely weekend.
Paris is the theme for this weeks Sunday Postcard Art Challenge.
I used a Gelli print for the background and all the images were stamped. I'm not sure if it was me or the Eiffel Tower that was tipsy when I stamped it. I added some white splatters and gave the postcard a coat of matte medium and added colour with Faber-Castell Pitt pens.
Stamps used:
Invoke Arts - Paris and background.
Creative Expressions - background.
Stampendous - flowers.
Clarity Stamps - Eiffel Tower.

The Age Of Aquarius
It's time for another Craft-Room Challenge and this time it's the turn of Esther to choose the theme, here's what she has to say about her choice.
This fortnight I'm asking for all things Water based as we are now in the Sign of Aquarius - The Water Bearer. This means you can either use a water based technique i.e. water colour pencils/paints, or a water themed image.
Our sponsor this challenge is Tando Creative.

For my DT piece I've made a mermaid tag. It wasn't very good lighting when I took the photo so the colours aren't as good as they should be.
For the background I swiped a Caribbean sea Kaleidacolour ink pad across my craft mat and sprayed water on it then I coloured my tag with it. When the background was dry I sprayed it with water.
I stamped the Clarity Stamp mermaid onto the tag and also onto some white card. I coloured her body with a felt tip and her tail with Sakura gelly roll pens then I cut her out and adhered her over the image on the tag.
I embossed a mixture of aged aqua and aged marine Frantage at the bottom of the tag and adhered some shells and a metal starfish charm.
I stamped the Hobby Arts sentiment onto card and adhered it to the tag.

Wish You Were Here
It's time for another Craft Room Challenge and it's my turn to choose the theme and I want everyone to make a holiday postcard. The postcard has to be 6 inches x 4 inches landscape or portrait with a holiday theme - the postcard can be made using any medium and digital postcards are allowed as well.
Crafty Individuals are the sponsors for the challenge.
I've made a couple of postcards. The first one is from Africa, I coloured the background with Dylusions ink and stamped the silhouettes with black archival, the rest of the images were stamped onto card, coloured and cut out and adhered to the postcard. I used Promarkers and felt tips to colour the images and used Quickutz dies for letters. Some of the stamps that I used are Clarity stamps, I'm not sure who made the rest.
My second card is a beach scene. I used Crafty Individuals stamps. I started by brayering acrylic paint across the card and I stamped all the images onto a separate piece of card, coloured them with Promarkers and cut them out. The little seahorse is a Cricut diecut.
The rest of the DT have made some fabulous cards so why not visit the Craft Room Challenge to take a look.
Thank you everyone that took part in the So Sentimental challenge, the entries were fabulous and Mervi will have a tough time choosing her top three.

Hot Colours
The latest challenge at Show Us Your Twinchies is Hot Colours.
I coloured my twinchie by scribbling red, pink, orange and yellow Kuretake felt tip pens onto my mat, sprayed it with water and coloured the twinchie. I stamped the images with black archival. The stamps are by Clarity Stamps, they're are small stamps and just the right size for twinchies. I went round the edge with black ink.
I'm entering my twinchie in the following challenges.

Grungy Monday 4
The theme for this weeks Grungy Monday challenge over at Studio L3 is Texture Fades and Distress. You can see Tim Holtz demonstrating it here. I'm also going to enter it for the Simon Says Stamp and Show challenge, their theme this week is to show a Lord Tim Of Holtz technique.
I started by spreading some mustard seed and worn lipstick Distress ink over a postcard texture fade and then embossed some cream card with it.Then I went over the embossing with some vintage photo Distress ink. I coloured some card with mustard seed, worn lipstick, tumbled glass and vintage photo Distress ink and stamped the images. After cutting the images out I attached them to the card together with a mini postcard from my stash and a metal tag.
The stamps I used are
Clarity Stamps, the Eiffel Tower.
Stampers Anonymous, the car and words.
Invoke Arts for the rest of the images.

Deco Pages
They've started this years deco swap at KCUK and I've made these pages for Ann, the theme for her book is anything male, I hope she likes them.
The background is some denim look card that I've stamped clocks on. I stamped the main images onto white card and coloured them with vintage photo Distress ink then matted them onto some black card. I stamped the sentiments onto blue card and went round the edge with the vintage photo then matted them onto black card. After attaching the images to the card I added some of Tim Holtz embellishments.
Stamps used
Main images After Midnight.
Sentiment Clarity stamps.
Clocks not sure.

Chunky Alphabet Book M N and O
The background is a piece of card that I embossed with a Tim Holtz Alterations embossing folder, I coloured it with distress ink. I'm not sure who made the stamps that I used but I stamped the main image onto white card and on to a post it note. I cut out the image on the post it note to use as a mask on the image on the white card. I coloured the card with distress inks and then removed the mask. The other bits that I used are an alphabet brad and a metal flower with a jewel in its centre.
I used a baby wipe to colour the background with Marvy Blending Blox ink. The pyramids are made by cutting a triangle shape out of some Cut-n-Dry foam and using it as a stamp. Again I'm not sure who made the stamps that I used, but I stamped the main image and name onto some turquoise card, then I cut them out and stuck them onto some black card, then I cut round the image to leave a black border. I stamped a few beetles along the bottom of the card and then attached the image and name and a few nail heads.
I coloured the background with distress inks, before I did this I made a mask for the moon so that it would stay white then I stamped over the moon with a Clarity Stamps moon and cloud stamp, then I stamped a little owl silhouette. I added trees [Crafty Individuals] along the bottom. The main owl image is by Joanna Sheen, I stamped this onto some white card and coloured it by using a water brush and some distress ink. I then attached it to the background with some sticky foam.

The background was done by brayering Ecogreen Crafts acrylic paint on to card. The silhouette images are by Clarity stamps and I stamped them with Archival black ink. The elephant and cheetah were stamped onto white card and cut out. I stamped a few green leaves and the word Africa.
