A Simple Card For A Man

This is the card that I made for my nephew, it was a very quick and easy card to make.

The background stamp was stamped straight onto the card blank. I stamped the image onto white card, then I cut it out and matted it onto black card.
The stamps are Woodware and the ink I used was Marvy shades of blue Blending Blox.

Rose ATC

I've made an ATC for my latest Creative Expressions DT piece. I used Sam Pool's lovely Butterfly Girl stamp set and the sentiment is from the Studio 490/Wendy Vecchi Sentimental Art stamp set.

I stamped the background with salty ocean and bundled sage Distress ink and the roses were stamped with shades of pink Marvi Blending Blox. The blue flourish and sentiment were stamped with french ultramarine Archival ink. I'd coloured the card that the sentiment is on by dragging the Marvi shades of pink over some white card. I stamped the butterfly girl onto some shrink plastic with black Stazon and stamped the roses and spots with fuchsia pink Stazon, masking the image before stamping. I coloured her with coloured pencils, cut her out leaving a large border round her and shrunk her with my heat gun. I adhered everything to the ATC, the sentiment was attached with sticky pads so that I could add some tiny roses behind it.

The theme for the UK Stampers July ATC swap is Roses so I've made three of my ATCs to join in the swap.

Clean and Simple

It's time for the first CRAFT-ROOM CHALLENGE of 2012, the theme has been chosen by the lovely Esther and she has chosen Clean and Simple.

I started my card by embossing lines on a card blank using my Hougie Board and then added the ribbon. I stamped the main image onto white card with Marvy ink. and matted it onto a peachy coloured card and then matted this onto dark brown card, I then attached it to the card and stamped the sentiment.
The stamps that I used are.
Penny Black for the main image.
Rubbadubbado for the sentiment.

Under The Red, Yellow and Orange Sea

The latest theme for the Stampotique Designers Challenge is Red Yellow and Orange and Stampotique stamps have to be used. I'm also going to enter this in the Simon Says Stamp and Show Anything Goes challenge.
I started of with a white card and stamped the images masking them as I went along, then I coloured the card in wavy lines using the direct to paper technique with a shades of orange Marvy Blending Blox. Then I stamped the plants with Elusive Images stamps. When I'd removed the masks I coloured the images with Promarkers. I then embossed the edges of the card with tropic red Cosmic Shimmer UTEE. and added some little coloured dew drops to look like bubbles.

Again I've used Marvy Blending Blox with Darkroom Door stamps.

The Jazz Age

This is my entry for the Less Is More challenge, the challenge this week is embossing. I stamped the background using a Marvy shades of orange blending blox ink pad and a Stampers Anonymous stamp off the psychedelic grunge set. For the main image I decided to use the lovely Hampton Art jazz stamp set that I bought at the Biggin Hill craft show last weekend. I stamped it with black pigment ink and embossed with black embossing powder, I also embossed the words.

Journal Week 4

Week 4 Sweets.
For week 4 we had to remember 5 sweets from childhood, how much they cost and where we bought them. Being a big fan of sweets I remembered a lot more than 5.
I coloured the background with Marvy blending blox put on with a baby wipe. The only stamp I used was a swirly stamp by Penny Black. The letters for sweets are die cut. I added a bit of a Rowntrees Fruit Pastilles wrapper and the round shiny things are clear domed stickers that I stuck to coloured card and cut round.

Chunky Alphabet Book M N and O

M is for music.
The background is a piece of card that I embossed with a Tim Holtz Alterations embossing folder, I coloured it with distress ink. I'm not sure who made the stamps that I used but I stamped the main image onto white card and on to a post it note. I cut out the image on the post it note to use as a mask on the image on the white card. I coloured the card with distress inks and then removed the mask. The other bits that I used are an alphabet brad and a metal flower with a jewel in its centre.
N is for Nefertiti.
I used a baby wipe to colour the background with Marvy Blending Blox ink. The pyramids are made by cutting a triangle shape out of some Cut-n-Dry foam and using it as a stamp. Again I'm not sure who made the stamps that I used, but I stamped the main image and name onto some turquoise card, then I cut them out and stuck them onto some black card, then I cut round the image to leave a black border. I stamped a few beetles along the bottom of the card and then attached the image and name and a few nail heads.
O is for owl.
I coloured the background with distress inks, before I did this I made a mask for the moon so that it would stay white then I stamped over the moon with a Clarity Stamps moon and cloud stamp, then I stamped a little owl silhouette. I added trees [Crafty Individuals] along the bottom. The main owl image is by Joanna Sheen, I stamped this onto some white card and coloured it by using a water brush and some distress ink. I then attached it to the background with some sticky foam.

Purple Postcards

These are three postcards that I made for a swap on KCUK.
Butterflies.
I coloured the background with a Marvy ink pad and stamped butterflies over it using Distress ink and Brilliance , I'm not sure who made the stamps, I also stamped butterflies on to a piece of torn mauve tissue paper and attached it to the card. I stamped the main image, by Crafty Individuals, on to some white card with a Marvy ink pad and attached it to the card with some brads. I embossed the edges with some tropic violet Cosmic Shimmer UTEE
Life's a Beach.
All the images are by Crafty Individuals. The background is coloured with a Marvy ink pad. I stamped the beach huts on to some striped paper, cut them out and attached to the card. I stamped the main image on to some mauve tissue paper and attached to the card. I stamped the seagulls and words directly on to the card. Lastly I embossed the edges with tropic violet Cosmic Shimmer UTEE.
Birds of a Feather.
The background is coloured with a Marvy inkpad. I stamped feathers [Hero Arts] on to the background with Brilliance. The bird flourish is by Elusive Images and I used Distress ink to stamp it with, then I attached a few jewels to the image. I stuck some tissue tape to the left hand edge. I stamped the bird postcard image [Crafty individuals] on to white card with Distress ink and coloured the card with the same ink. The little flying birds and the words were stamped directly onto the card. The last thing I did was to emboss some tropic violet Cosmic Shimmer UTEE onto the tissue tape.
