Busy Bees

Hi everyone, today I have a tag to share with you.

There are a couple of challenges that I’d like to enter
Tag Tuesday  - Wings
Country View Challenges  - It’s A Bugs Life.

I used distress ink and a Darkroom Door sunshine stamp on the background and stencilled a honeycomb pattern with archival ink. I stamped the Woodware beehive onto white card and coloured it with pencils, cut it out and adhered it to the tag, I stamped the small Woodware bees and added the large Sizzix bee.

Thank you for dropping by to take a look. xxx

Flutter By Butterfly

Good morning everyone, I hope you are enjoying the bank holiday, I was hoping to have a lovely relaxing day in the garden but next doors builders have turned up so it's going to be a noisy day.

Go Bold With Colour is the theme for this weeks Go Tag Thursday challenge.

I used watercolour card for the tag and sprayed it with home made ink sprays, when the spray had dried I sprayed it with a mica spray - the tag has a lovely shimmer, I stamped the flowers [Darkroom Door and the small butterflies [stamp unknown]. The main butterfly was left over from a project I made a while ago, I used a clock hand for the body and added some gems.

This photo shows some of the shimmer.

Thank you for dropping by, enjoy your Monday.
xxx Hazel.

Nature Deco Pages

The deco book swap at KCUK is well under way and I'd like to share with you the two pages that I made for Wendy, the theme of her book is Nature In All It's Glory.

I used one of my Gelli prints for the background and used watering can Archival ink for all the stamping apart from some black script on the background. I coloured some card with distress ink and stamped the main image and sentiment. I coloured the butterflies with picked raspberry distress ink and used some black ink on the edges. I stamped the butterflies and diecut them and added some pink gems.

I used the following stamps.
Stampers Anonymous for the main image.
Darkroom Door for the sentiment.
I used a Martha Stewart butterfly punch that comes with some stamps.

For this page I used a Gelli background. I stamped the flowers onto the background with coffee Archival ink and used a clear glaze pen on the centres. I stamped the main image and coloured the flower with distress ink. The single flowers were stamped onto white card and coloured with distress ink, I used the clear glaze pen on the centres. I adhered the image and sentiment to the page, then I cut out the flowers and adhered them and some die cut leaves to the page.

I used
Crafty Individuals stamps for the flower image and flowers.
PaperArtsy for the sentiment.
Tattered Lace for the die cut leaves.

I would like the enter the flower page into the
Crafty Individuals Natures Beauty Challenge.

Craft-Room Colour Challenge

It's Ambers turn to choose the latest theme for the Craft-Room Challenge, she has chosen a colour challenge and has provided the lovely picture below with the colours that are to be used.

We are sponsored this week by the wonderful Stamp Addicts.  Click on the link to see all of the amazing stamping products they have available.

This is my DT card.

Last week I spent a lovely crafty day at my friend Alisons, we played with our Portfolio  oil pastels. I used them to colour  the background of my card together with a mask and a baby wipe. I stamped some script and then matted it onto some black card. I used felt tips to colour the Hero Arts flower stamp and then matted the image onto black card. The sentiment is a Darkroom Door stamp.
Helen Chilton has an article in January's Craft Stamper using Gelatos for the same technique.

The rest of the DT have made some beautiful samples and they would love you to visit the Craft-Room to take a look.

These are the tags that I made, one for each technique.

I used a Darkroom Door stamp for the middle tag.

Less is More, Monochrome

The challenge at Less Is More this week is Monochrome. I've used PaperArtsy stamps apart from the follow your dreams, that's by Inkadinkado. The inks that I've used are Marvy Blending Blox.
Again I've used Marvy Blending Blox with Darkroom Door stamps.

Blue Challenge

These are two cards I made for a blue challenge. The image is by Darkroom Door and the colour is shades of blue by Marvy Blending Blox. For the butterflies I used a Martha Stewart punch and stamps. I spread Distress Stickles over the image and butterflies on the top card unfortunatly the photo doesn't show how glittery it is.
