Birthday card

Today I’m sharing with you a card that I made using gelli prints, during September I joined in with Bergit Koopsen’s Gelli plate challenge. I managed to follow the prompts everyday.

I used a couple of the prints for the background and I think the flowers are a Stampendous stamp, I coloured them with pencils, I added some thread and a die cut butterfly.

I won’t show all the prints as there are too many but I’ll show you three piles, now all I have to do is think of what to use them for.

112 x 5” x 3 1/2” prints.

107 6"x 6" prints

90 A4 prints

Thank you for visiting my blog, you are all very welcome. xxx

Butterfly Journal Page

Last week my friend Alison came to play, we had a great day playing with our Gelli Plates and we both ended up with loads of lovely prints.

I've used one of them on my journal page.

My print wasn't big enough to cover the pages so I painted the edge of the pages with Acrylic paint, tore round the print and glued it to the pages. I used Kaisercraft, Inkadinkado and Stampendous stamps on the background and I used Versamagic chalk ink. The butterflies [Stampendous stamp and cutting dies] were stamped onto cream card, cut out and glued to the pages with Mod Podge, I also spread the Mod Podge over the butterflies so that I could colour them with Faber Castell Pitt artist pens. Spreading the glue over the images and letting it dry meant that I could colour with the pens and spread the ink with my finger before it dried. I uesd an Artistic Stamper stamp for the quote.

I'm sharing my pages with Art Journal Journey their theme this month is Time.

Thank you for looking.
xxx Hazel.

Jofy Birthday Cards

Good morning and what a lovely bright morning it is here today, I hope it's the same where you are.

Today I'm sharing a couple of cards with you that I made earlier in the year, I used PaperArtsy/Jofy stamps on both cards.

For the background I sponged Adirondack Brights ink onto some card and flicked water on it. I stamped the images and sentiment with Versamark and embossed it with white embossing powder. I used a punch that put nicks in the corners and wrapped some silver cord round, then it was matted onto some black card and then the card blank.

The background for this card was made using my Gelli plate. I stamped the images onto the background and stamped the flowers and tag onto a separate piece of card and cut them out. I added some  ribbon and dew drops.

Nature Deco Pages

The deco book swap at KCUK is well under way and I'd like to share with you the two pages that I made for Wendy, the theme of her book is Nature In All It's Glory.

I used one of my Gelli prints for the background and used watering can Archival ink for all the stamping apart from some black script on the background. I coloured some card with distress ink and stamped the main image and sentiment. I coloured the butterflies with picked raspberry distress ink and used some black ink on the edges. I stamped the butterflies and diecut them and added some pink gems.

I used the following stamps.
Stampers Anonymous for the main image.
Darkroom Door for the sentiment.
I used a Martha Stewart butterfly punch that comes with some stamps.

For this page I used a Gelli background. I stamped the flowers onto the background with coffee Archival ink and used a clear glaze pen on the centres. I stamped the main image and coloured the flower with distress ink. The single flowers were stamped onto white card and coloured with distress ink, I used the clear glaze pen on the centres. I adhered the image and sentiment to the page, then I cut out the flowers and adhered them and some die cut leaves to the page.

I used
Crafty Individuals stamps for the flower image and flowers.
PaperArtsy for the sentiment.
Tattered Lace for the die cut leaves.

I would like the enter the flower page into the
Crafty Individuals Natures Beauty Challenge.

Oriental

I've made this tag for the Tag Along Challenge the theme is Oriental.

I made my tag from some patterned card from my stash and stamped some Bamboo [PSX] with some moonlight white Brilliance ink and then adhered some washi paper. I then embossed the edges of the tag with black embossing powder.  I stamped the main image [Inkadinkado] and word [unknown] onto one of my Gelli prints with graphite black Brilliance ink then matted them onto some black card. I stamped some stars [Hero Arts] onto a strip of the Gelli print. The image at the bottom [PaperArtsy] was stamped onto clear Shrink Plastic with Stazon, after I heated it I adhered it to some of the Gelli print. I embellished the tag with a charm and some fibers.

Faces ATCs

Good morning everyone, I hope you all had a good weekend.

I'd like to share with you some ATCs that I've made for the Paperplay ATC swap.

The ATCs were made with Gelli backgrounds and I stamped some script [PaperArtsy] with Brilliance moonlight white. I stamped the faces [La Blanche stamps] onto tissue paper and used white ink on the back before adhering them to the ATCs, I then went round the edges with some guilding flakes. The Joy sentiment is Chocolate Baroque and the others are Creative Expressions.

Sing Bird Sing

The first challenge at KCUK this month is to use book/dictionary pages, here is the card that I made.

I adhered a piece of book page to a card blank and then sponged peacock feathers Distress ink over it. I then distressed the edges of a piece of scrap paper that was used to clean my brayer after playing with my Gelli plate. I stamped the image [The Artistic Stamper] onto a book page, tore the edges and adhered it onto some torn black card. The bow was made with a piece of seam binding that I 'd dyed with peacock feathers and the chipboard bird was embossed with aged aqua Frantage powder.

I'm entering my card into The Artistic Stamper February challenge - Use Distress.

Bird Tag

I'd like to share with you today the second tag that I made for the Paperplay January tag swap.

I used one of my Gelli prints for the background and stamped the flying birds [Stampers Anonymous], the bird flourish [Chocolate Baroque] and the birdcage [Kaisercraft]. I put black soot Distress ink round the edge. I used the Sizzix Alterations bird branch die for the die cut, I coloured it with walnut stain and then cut the bird of the branch, this was so that I could stand the branch upright, I covered the bird with orange stickles and adhered it to the tag, then I added the sentiment [Creative Expressions].

Butterfly Tag

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all fit and well and not to wet and windblown, it's still very windy in my part of the country but at least the rain has stopped for the time being.
I'd like to share with you one of the tags that I made for the Paperplay January tag swap.

The background for the tag is one of my Gelli prints. I stamped some butterflies [stamps unknown] with peacock feathers and spiced marmalade Distress ink then I stamped some twiggy things [stamps unknown] up the sides with black Archival and then added some tissue tape to the bottom. I stamped the main image [Paperbag Studio] onto white card and coloured it with distress inks using a water brush, I cut the image out and adhered it to the card. The sentiment was stamped onto vellum and attached to the tag with staples.

A Pink Card

I'd like to share with you the card that I've made for this months challenge at KCUK, the theme is pink.

Last week my friend Alison came to play, we had a wonderful day playing with our Gelli plates - I now have lots of lovely backgrounds to use.

I started by stamping a PaperArtsy flower stamp with aged mahogany distress ink onto my pink Gelli background. I then stamped the Jofy flowers and dragonfly onto the background and also onto white card, I coloured the flowers, leaves and dragonfly, then cut them out and adhered them over the images on the card, I added the sentiment and adhered the whole thing onto a white card blank that I'd edged with aged mahogany.
