This altered this notebook will be used as a stocking filler at Christmas.
I covered the notebook in a yellow background paper and sprayed it with Glimmer Mist, then I adhered black and white card and added the ribbon. The image and quote were stamped a very long time ago and sorry I cant remember who made the stamps. They were stamped onto card that I'd sprayed with Glimmer Mist. I matted them onto white card. I embellished the notebook with white flowers with a black gem in the centre.
I'm entering the notebook in the Out of a Hat Creations challenge, I should just about make it in time. The challenge is to make a Christmas Gift or Stocking Filler.

Time Flies
Time certainly is flying at the moment, I can't believe that it's time for another Craft-Room challenge. Thank you everyone that entered the Oriental challenge, we had some fabulous entries. It's Suzanne's turn to choose the latest challenge theme and she has chosen TIME and would love to see a Timepiece on your creations.
My DT piece for the challenge is a wall hanging.
A closer look at the sentiment.
The rest of the Design Team have made some wonderful pieces so take a trip to the Craft-Room to have a look.
My DT piece for the challenge is a wall hanging.
Our sponsor for the challenge is the fabulous Crafty Individuals.
I embossed some card with a Sizzix/Alterations clock embossing folder and adhered it to a piece of moutboard. Around the edge I adhered some lacy card that I'd cut with the Sizzix/Alterations decorative strip die and on top of this I stuck some sticky backed gems, then I painted the whole thing wit some black acrylic paint and some worn penny and rich espresso DecoArt paint. When the paint was dry I went over the raised areas with some gold Rub and Buff.
I die cut the Sizzix/Alterations weathered clock out of grungeboard and painted it with the same paint as above, then I adhered the image [can't remember where I got it from] to some card and then I adhered it to the back of the clock and filled in the holes with antique pink and buttercup Pebeo Prisme Fantasy paint. When the paint was dry I adhered a pair of rusted metal wings then I adhered the clock to the mountboard base.
I coloured a bit of card with vintage photo and victorian velvet Distress ink then I stamped the Creative Expressions sentiment.
The dangly thing is one of my charity shop finds and I added some chain to hang it.

Purple, Green, Orange and Black
The challenge at the Sunday Postcard Art this week is a colour challenge, purple, green, orange and black are the colours we have to use and it has to do with Halloween. I've had a photo of a vampire bat for a long time, so I decided to use him on my postcard this week. Apart from the vampire bat and skeleton hands all the other images and background are from the Spook Time digi kit.

A Birthday Card
I'd like to share with you the birthday card that I made for my torturer [personal trainer]. I always make him a handmade card but last year I didn't have time to make one so I gave him a bought one and did he moan about it and make me suffer, so this year I thought I'd better make him one.
I swiped wild honey, faded jeans and vintage photo Distress Stain across a white card blank and then splatted the same colours onto a piece of white card, I matted this and the image onto black card. For the image I used a stamp from Flonz Craft. I embellished it with some spotty ribbon and a peel off sentiment.
I'm entering my card into the following challenges.

Little Boxes
The lovely ladies at Out Of A Hat Creations have chosen Packaging/Wrapping for a Christmas Gift for their challenge this week. I've made some boxes using some of the templates on the Serif Craft Artist Software.
The image and tag are Gecko Galz images. The holly is 3d decoupaged. I used to do decoupage a few years ago and made up some pieces in case I needed a quick card.
The little bag has got another of my decoupaged pieces on it.

A Taste Of The Orient
Time for another Craft-Room Challenge. This fortnights challenge has been chosen by Zoe and she wants us to go Oriental.
The fabulous Tanda Stamps are our sponsors for the challenge.
I adhered a piece of Craft House paper to a white card blank. I stamped the image with black Archival on to white card and coloured it in with coloured pencils. I tore the end of the card and wrapped metallic thread round it, I then adhered this to a piece of black card. For the strip down the side I wrapped some of the metallic thread round some black card and matted it onto some white card. I embellished the card with some little silver fans, black gems and a chipboard bird that I'd coloured with brushed pewter Distress Stain.
The image is stamped with a Tanda stamp and the greeting is stamped with a Sleek Design stamp.
Take a visit to the Craft-Room blog to see the fabulous designs that the rest of the DT have done.

Andy Skinner Workshop
I had a fabulous day at the Craft Barn on Sunday doing an Andy Skinner workshop.
This is what I made.
We all got very messy playing with paints and I learnt some new techniques, one of them was image transfer - something that I'd always wanted to do and will definitely be doing again.
Here is a closer look at the rust technique.
I'm linking my piece to the Simon Says Stamp and Show challenge Rustification.

Christmas Cards
For this card I used GG Tis the Season background paper and an image from the GG Wintertime collage sheet. I matted the background paper and image onto gold and red card and adhered them to a red card blank. I added some ribbon and a gold snowflake border that I'd made with a Martha Stewart punch.
The image I used is from the GG Vintage Christmas digi set. I cut the image out with a Spellbinders circle die then I layered this onto black and white card. I embellished the card with ribbon, snowflakes, black gems and a merry Christmas peel off.
I used GG Silent Night background paper and the image is from the GG Old Fashioned Christmas collage sheet and I also used a tag from the Christmas Tags sheet. I used Spellbinders scalloped circle dies to cut out the image and gold and red card. I also used holly leaves, red gems, ribbon and gold border peel off.

Artful Times Postcard
It's been a while since I've been able to join the Artful Times challenge but I've managed to find some time this week and my mojo seems to be coming back from Ireland. The latest challenge is to make a postcard with some letters or script on it.
This is what I made for the challenge.
I stamped the eye, hand and wasps and then masked them before stamping the letters, I then took of the eye mask, cut the eye out and masked the eye again, then I sprayed the background with Bubblegum pink, vibrant turquoise and lemon zest Dylusions ink. I removed the masks and coloured the images with felt tips leaving the eye white. I put stickles on the wasp wings.
The stamps that I used are from the Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Oddities stamp set.

UK Stampers ATC Swap
I sprayed the background with Glimmer Mist and stamped some swirls with an Ecogreen stamp then I adhered a piece of patterned hand made paper to it. I stamped the PaperArtsy stamp onto white card and edged it with worn lipstick Distress ink, I also used it round the edge of the ATC. The eye and cheek were coloured with coloured pencil. I embellished the ATC with a sun charm.
The PaperArtsy stamp was stamped onto white card using Black Archival ink. I used blue card for the ATC and embossed the edges with shabby pink Frantage embossing enamel. I adhered the image and words and added a silver charm.
I coloured the ATC with Distress Stain and stamped the PaperArtsy stamp with black Archival ink. I'd stamped the image twice and cut the butterfly out of the 2 image and covered it with stickles, when it was dry I adhered it to the ATC with some black gems. The image was matted onto black card.

Craft-Room Challenge/Alter It
Another fortnight has passed and it's time for another Craft-Room challenge. The lovely Julia has chosen the theme Alter It, she would like you to alter anything. For my DT piece I have altered a Plywood Frame.
For the lucky prize draw winner there is a £10 prize from our sponsors Stamp Addicts.
Earlier in the year I went to a Helen Chilton workshop where we used Pebeo Prisme Fantasy Paint, I love the effect that the paint has so I decided to use it to cover the front of a plywood frame. I painted the frame first with black gesso before covering it with the Pebeo paint.
For the embellishments I covered some card with sticky backed aluminium and die cut the flowers using the Sizzix/Alterations tattered flower garland die, I also used the Memory Box delicate vine die. I put some little gems in the centre of the flowers.
Thank you all that took part in our Childhood Memories challenge, we had some fabulous entries. The rest of the DT have made some wonderful altered pieces so why not visit the Craft-Room to take a look.
