Time For Tea

I've had a teapot template for quite a while and have never used it so I decided to take it out of it's wrapper and use it for my latest DT project for Creative Expressions. I used the Heartfelt Creations Bella Rose stamps and die set.

I coloured the pot with antique linen and stormy sky Distress ink and edged it with tea die. I used stormy sky and the small rosebud stamp to decorate the pot. I embellished the pot with hand made flowers, die cut leaves and part of a doily. I used Quickcutz alphabet dies for the letters.

Time for another DT piece for Creative Expressions using the Heartfelt Creations Bold Bella stamps and Dies.

I started by colouring the edge of a white card blank with aged mahogany Distress ink, then I distressed the edge of some Gecko Galz wendylady background paper and coloured the edge with the DI, then I attached the ribbon and matted it to the card. I embossed a piece of white card with a Cuttlebug embossing folder and then brayered some worn lipstick DI over the top to pick out the tiny roses, I attached it to the card and added some lace. I die cut the leaf flourish with some green card and coloured the exposed area with bundled sage DI before I took it out of the die. I coloured a piece of card with aged mahogany and stamped the little rose bud then attached a fragment with some Glossy Accents.

Vintage/Shabby

It's time for another Craft-Room challenge and  it's Mervi's turn to choose the theme and she has chosen Shabby/Vintage.

The sponsor for the challenge is Crafty Individuals and the prize for the draw is stamp No. CI 310 and the 7 Shades of Summer background paper book.

I used a Crafty Individuals stamp for my main image but you don't have to use Crafty Individuals products for your challenge piece.
I distressed the edges of various papers and attached them to the card. The image was stamped with aged mahogany Distress ink and I used it on the distressed edges of the papers as well.
The hats are a Gecko Galz digi that I coloured with pencil. I embellished the card with roses, lace, pearls, I made a couple of stick pins and stapled some pieces of ribbon to the card.

The Design Team have made some lovely samples so please take a look at them on the Craft-Room Challenge blog. I'm looking forward to seeing the lovely pieces that you make for the challenge.

Everything's Coming Up Roses

This month the Creative Expressions DT have been sent the fabulous Heartfelt Creations Bold Bella Rose stamp set and Bella Rose dies to work with.

This is the card that I made.
I stamped the leaves onto some background paper with bundled sage Distress ink.and then matted it onto some white card that I'd edged with bundled sage. I attached the ribbon to one corner before matting the background onto the main card blank. I coloured the rose stamp with Whispers felt tips and sprayed with water before stamping onto white card, I did this three times, then I die cut them and attached them to the card. The die cut border was made with a Spellbinders die from the Fleur De Lis set.

More Garden Chic

Here is another card that I've made for Creative Expressions using the Eco Green Garden Chic stamp set.

The ink I've used is tumbled glass and mustard seed Distress Ink.
I used a Crafters Workshop mini tile texture mask  for the background. All the stamped images have been matted onto black card. I added bakers twine. The flower was made with a wonderful gadget called a flower loom that was a free gift in the Simply Homemade Magazine No 12. Looking at it I wished I'd used a button in the centre of the flower instead of the large gem.

Acrylic Block Printing

KCUK's challenge this month is to use acrylic blocks to make backgrounds.
What you do is scribble felt tip pens onto an acrylic block, spray it with water and then stamp it onto card, it gives you a nice background to stamp on.

  Stamps, Dina Wakley.

Fairy Domino Book and Pendant.

These are my latest DT pieces for Gecko Galz. I used images from the lovely Pixie Dust Domino image sheet.

For the pendant I adhered the image to a piece of stampboard, punched a hole and triple embossed it with clear UTEE, I added glitter on the second coat of UTEE. I coloured the sides and back with a gold Krylon pen and then adhered the flower and leaves.

This is the front of my domino book.

For the front and back of my domino book I painted two dominoes with lake Eco Green acrylic paint and then adhered the images and triple embossed them with clear embossing powder.

For the inside I cut some card to size and coloured it with a selection of Distress inks then I stamped some images. I scored the card and concertina folded it. I distressed the edges of the images and adhered them to the card then I attached the front and back dominoes and some ribbon to keep the book closed.

This is the back of my domino book.
The stamps I've used are,
Carolines for the tiny fairies and fairy silhouette.
Stampotique for the mushroom.
Tattered Angels and Inkadinkado for the rest.

I used peeled paint, forrest moss and shabby shutters Distress stain dabbed onto the background stamp to give the background images a watercolour look. I stamped the lovely little bee and then distressed the edges of the cards and attached them to the card blank and then added a strip of hessian and ribbon. For the small image at the bottom I splatted some shabby shutters Distress Stain onto a piece of white card and stamped the image. I distressed the edges and attached it to the card.

Garden Chic

Here is my latest DT piece for CREATIVE EXPRESSIONS using the Eco Green Garden Chic stamp set.

I started by covering a DL card blank with black paper, then punched notches in the corners of a piece of green card that was slightly smaller than the card blank, then I wrapped bakers twine round the card and attached it to the card blank. I then layered some hand made paper, black card and the green card that I'd stamped the image on and tied some twine into a bow. I added a silver bird charm.
