Gung Hay Fat Choy

Artful Times are celebrating the Chinese New Year for their latest challenge, it's the Year Of The Snake so Gung Hay Fat Choy everyone.
For the challenge I've made a bookmark.

For my bookmark I used a Dreamweaver Stencil and Translucent Embossing Paste.
I placed the stencil onto some white card and stippled it with different coloured inks, then I spread the paste over. When the paste had dried I stamped some bamboo leaves and added a charm, then I adhered it to a larger piece of card and added the tassel.

So Very Stylish Bookmarks

I've decided to make some colourful bookmarks for my latest Creative Expressions DT piece.
I've used a dress and sentiment from the Creative Expressions Gala Event stamp set and the spotty stamp from Sam Poole's Butterfly Girl stamp set.

I sprayed some white card with various colours of Dylusions spray. After cutting the bookmarks I stamped the spots with black Archival and rounded the corners. I stamped the dress onto the coloured card, cut them out and matted them onto white card. I added the sentiment, sari ribbon, handbag charm and some gems.

Vintage Deco Pages

We've started a deco book swap at the KCUK Yahoo group and these are the pages that I've made for Ann. Her theme is Vintage using browns and creams.
These are the pages that I made for her.

The stamps I used for this page are
Crafty Individuals for the main image.
Elusive Images for the background.
The Artistic Stamper for the flower.
Stamps Away for the butterfly.
I used vintage photo and walnut stain Distress ink.
I used an old book page, pearls and some lace to embellish the page.

The stamps that I used for this page are
Crafty Individuals for the main image.
Stampers Anonymous/Wendy Vecchi Sentimental Art set for the background.
I used vintage photo and walnut stain distress ink.
The embellishments that I used are a doily, an odd scrap of patterned paper, some roses, pearls and I made a couple of stick pins.
I don't know who made the beauty stamp.

I also made her a bookmark using vintage photo and walnut stain Distress Ink. The background stamp is by Inkadinkado and the main image stamp is by Crafty Individuals. I covered the bookmark with acetate.

I've joined a new group called Bella Creations, check it out, there's a lot of talented people in the group. There are a lot of groups within the group so I joined Oh La La. The Oh La La challenge for February was to make a valentine or Chinese New Year bookmark using a rabbit image provided by Gecko Galz. I went for valentine.
I attached some background paper to some red card, put some Tim Holtz music tissue tape across the bottom. The hearts are die cut and I cut round the hand on the rabbit and tucked one of the hearts under it so it looked like he was holding it. The words are cut out of an old book. I attached a heart brad to the ribbon .
