AJSS 2018 JOURNAL PAGES

Good morning everyone, I hope you’re having a lovely weekend.
I’ve been looking through some photos of work that I did earlier in the year and didn’t post, I found a couple of art journal pages to share with you that I’d done for the Art Journal Summer School 2018.

This page was done for a lesson taken by Iris Fritschi - Cussens, we had to draw the figures with our left hand or right hand if left handed. I use acrylic paint and the quote was a sticker that I found in my stash.

Dina Wakley was the teacher for this lesson, I used a stencil, scribble sticks and Tim Holtz word stickers.

Thank you for visiting. Have a lovely day. xxx

Sunny Landscapes

Were having a new boiler fitted today and the front door is wide open and I'm freezing, so I decided to share one of the pages that I made for the Art Journal Summer School 2018, the guest teacher was Marlene Meijer-Van Niekerk, I loved this lesson and I'm hoping that thinking of the sunny landscape will warm me up a little.

I'm entering my page into the Art Journal Journey  Creature Comforts challenge chosen by Linda, being warm to me is defiantly a creature comfort.

For the fields I adhered some patterned paper to the page, and the rest of the background was coloured with Decoart acrylic paint. I used acrylic paint and Neocolour 2 to colour the colourful striped field, this is to represent fields of tulips growing. For the houses I used Paperartsy stamps, I used a Finnabair stamp on some gold card for the circle. The sun is stencilled with a Tim Holtz stencil and acrylic paint, the flowers were stencilled with black acrylic paint. I used a Dina Wakley stamp for the trees at the bottom.

Well I haven't warmed up but Iv'e enjoyed looking at my sunny page. Thank you for dropping by to take a look, you're all very welcome. xxx

Go Flamingo

Marieke Blockland took the first lesson at the Art Journal Summer School 2018, Go Flamingo is the title. I enjoyed this lesson apart from finding out that the journal I'm using doesn't like water colours especially where I've rubbed out part of my drawings and taken the top layer of paper of.

I'm entering my flamingos in the Art Journey Journey Art For Arts Sake challenge hosted by Chris.

I started colouring with watercolour and ended up using coloured pencils.
The quote says
Be a Flamingo, stay balanced, stand by your flock and always be fabulous.

Thank you for dropping by to take a look, enjoy the fabulous weather that we're having and have a good weekend. xxx
