I'm linking my page to the Art Journal Journey challenge - If Music Be The Food Of Love.
The only thing that I can remember about what I used on the topper is that the image is a Crafty Individuals stamp and everything was coloured with distress ink.
I painted the background with gesso and stencilled some hearts with modelling paste. When the paste was dry I sprayed some creme de chocolat Glimmer Mist and let it run down the page, when this was dry I then sprayed some turquoise blue Glimmer Mist and let that run down the page. I stamped round the edge with a Dina Wakley swirly stamp and some white distress paint, it doesn't show up very well - you can just about see it at the bottom. The last thing I did was to add a little bit of music tissue tape.
Have a lovely day.

Beautiful page Hazel. Well done for making your husband a card every year for Valentine's. It is many years since we did anything at all on the day maybe I will make a card and shock Vic this time.

ReplyDeleteWonderful journal page, and love that you re-used the topper - I do this a lot, recycling is so much better than waste, and it has made a gorgeous page for AJJ: Thanks Hazel!

I love your heart related image today. My favorite parts are the light blue color and those 2 little pins. Funny how 2 little metal pieces really pull the page together. And definitely watch those new X Files episodes!
