I used a Gelli print for the background and stamped the PaperArtsy image onto the postcard and also onto a piece of white card. I stamped the Ecogreen Crafts swirls around the edges and embossed with gold, the ink on the image hadn't dried properly so parts of that got embossed as well. I cut out the head from the image on the white card and glued it over the image on the postcard. I stamped the crown with Stazon onto gold card and cut it out, I glued it onto the head and added some gems. I added the part of the dictionary page that had the definition of queen and stamped the letter Q.
Thank you for looking.
xxx Hazel.

I was so tempted to do Queen this time, but made myself do something else. Love your card, and great colours for a Queen.
ReplyDeleteWith a proper crown, even a plain Jane can be turned into a queen! I love this art piece! The colors are grand and just the right amount of glitz to be royal. Very nicely done, Hazel!
ReplyDeleteFabulous image and love the gold elements.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous xx

She looks scary but very regal! Great page.
ReplyDeleteWonderful Hazel, very regal indeed! Deb xo
ReplyDeletethe swirls are so intricate. I always have that problem with embossing, I remember reading a tip a while ago, but what was it again? I think to use babypowder??
ReplyDeleteYou get much better results with your gelli prints than I. This background is gorgeous, and so are the embossed scrolls. But that Queen really takes the prize. She is rather evil looking, I think, but fun to see how you created her and her beautiful crown.
ReplyDeleteA great postcard and love the gold elements, very queenly!
ReplyDeleteThe gold embossing is perfect for your regal postcard.
