Time ATC

To put Time on an ATC is the latest Artful Times challenge theme.

I coloured the card with faded jeans Distress ink and stamped the background with black Archival ink. I adhered this onto some card that I'd coloured with walnut stain. The image is of the Gecko Galz Manoman collage sheet, I distressed the edges and embossed with gold. The sentiment was stamped and embossed with gold. I added a watch charm.
All the stamps are by Creative Expressions.

Alpha Challenge - Letter C

I have quite a few circus stamps and don't get much chance to use them, so when I saw that the letter for the Craft Barns Alpha Challenge was C I knew what I was going to do.

I tore a couple of pages out of my old dictionary and stuck them into my journal. I coloured my patterned background with felt tips. I stamped some stars with white acrylic paint  but the paint soaked up the colour of the felt tips so I drew around the stars with my white Posca pen, but again this soaked up the colour too.
I stamped the images onto white card and cut them out. I decided not to colour them in but just went lightly round the edges with some vintage photo Distress ink to take away some of the whiteness.
I added some die cut letters and a metal letter C
The stamps that I used are from
Stampers Anonymous
Katzelkraft
Artistic Outpost
Hampton Art.

Inchie Beach Huts

It's Monday again so it must be time for the Every Inchie Monday challenge. The theme this week is HUT. I wasn't sure how I was going to fit a hut onto an inchie but I found an image of some beach huts on the Internet and decided to use it for my inchie.

I resized the image to 1" and printed it three times. I cut the huts out on two of the images and 3D them. I added some Flowersoft sand to the bottom of the inchie.

I've not been able to join in with the Sunday Postcard Art challenge since before Christmas but have found a little bit of time to play this week. The theme is Coffee Time.

I must admit that I'm not a coffee drinker - much prefer tea. I found all the images for my card on the Internet.

Heart of Stone

Stone is the theme this week at Every Inchie Monday.

I punched out a heart and coloured it red and covered it with Glossy Accents and then covered it in the tiny stones. The stones are from the gritty stuff that goes on top of pond plant containers.

I've decided to join in with the Craft Barns Alpha Challenge. The first letter is V. I've got an old dictionary and have decided to tear the pages out and stick them in a journal. The word that I've chosen is VEHICLE.

I've ringed my word but it doesn't show up very well.
I've used Distress stain, Fresco paint and DecoArt paint on the pages.
I also used Crafters Workshop and Creative Expressions masks.
The stamps that I used are Katzelkraft, 7Gypsies and Stamp Bug.
I stamped the images onto tissue paper before adhering them to the pages. I added a few dots with a white pen.

Get Those Embossing Folders Out

The latest challenge at Artful Times is to use two or more embossing folders so I've made a card using three.

I started by embossing the edge of my card with a Sizzix/Alterations butterfly die, I sponged distress ink over the butterflies. I adhered paper from my stash. I used a Cuttlebug happy birthday folder to emboss some Kraft-Core card and I sanded the raised bits. Next I used some Distress ink to ink my Cuttlebug rose folder before embossing the card. I cut it to size and tied some ribbon round it. For the butterfly I used a Marianne die and added a large gem.

I'm entering my card into the following challenges.

The theme for the UK Stampers January ATC swap is Keys.

Last weekend I bought a PaperArtsy/Lynne Perrella stamp set and decided to use them on my ATCs. Inchie Star

I've decided to join in with inchie challenge at Every Inchie Monday. Every Monday we're given a word for the theme and hopefully at the end of the year we'll all have 52 inchies. I shall try and keep it up. The word this week is Star.

For the background I used a scrap of card that I'd coloured ages ago, added a piece of blue sparkly angel hair and added a glittery star that I found in my stash.

Less is More

I've made this card for the Less Is More challenge, the theme is Black and White with a touch of another colour. It's been a long time since I entered one of their challenges but I have more time now to join in again.

This was a very quick and simple card to make.
I wrapped some thread round a scalloped card blank. I stamped the Crafty Individuals stamp onto white card with black Archival and matted it onto black card. I added the sentiment and my little bit of colour is the three blue gems.

I'm also entering my card in the Allsorts Clean and Simple Challenge.

Valentine

It's the first challenge of the year at the Craft-Room, the theme for the challenge is Valentines and it has been chosen by Nikki.
Before I show you my card I'd like to thank you all for entering the tag challenge, the entries were fabulous and I'm going to find it very hard to choose my top three.

Our sponsor for the challenge is Crafty Individuals.

I coloured a white card blank with peacock feathers Distress ink. I decided that it was too strong a colour for what I wanted so I adhered some white lace round the edges of the card.
I coloured a Sizzex Alterations embossing folder with peacock feathers and wild honey Distress ink and then embossed some white card. I coloured the edges of the embossed card with vintage photo.
Using a Heart Squares Spellbinders die I cut two squares.
For the image I used a Crafty Individuals stamp masking the face before colouring it with wild honey.
I used a Marianne die for the hearts.
I embellished the card with a couple of pins and some seam binding that I coloured with peacock feathers.
