SPA - Steampunk

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a good weekend. The theme for this weeks Sunday Postcard Art challenge is Steampunk.

I used distress ink to colour the background. The stamps used on the background are Graphic 45 and 7gypsies stamps. I stamped the main images (Graphic 45) onto the card to place them and then I stamped them onto white copy paper, coloured them with pencils, cut them out and adhered them over the stamped images on the card. I added some wash I tape.

Thank you for visiting, you’re all very welcome. xxx

SPA - Hats

Good morning everyone, I hope you all had a good weekend.

Hats or Headpieces is this weeks theme for the Sunday Postcard Art challenge.

I used alcohol ink on the background, for the white skull I used a stencil and some alcohol blending solution. The web, spider and words were stamped directly on the card. I coloured some white card with brimstone wings Color Bloom spray and stamped the skulls, I cut them out and glued them to the card. I stamped the hat and bow tie and embossed them with a purple glitter embossing powder, you can't see the glitter on the photo.

Stamps
Stamp Addicts - skulls, hat and bow tie.
Inkadinkado - spider and web.
Graphic 45 - words.

Thank you for taking a look, have a lovely day. xxx Hazel.

Music Deco Pages

Good morning, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

Today I'm sharing some more pages that I did for KCUK's deco book swap, the theme was music.

I used Pan Pastels for the background, I also used Pan Pastels with the Tim Holtz stencil, the stars [Stampers Anonymous] were stamped with Distress ink. The main image and words are Graphic 45 stamps and were stamped and embossed. I stamped the music around the edge - I'm not sure who made the stamp.

The background was coloured with Distress inks and sprayed with water. I stamped the music - not sure who made the stamp. I stamped the main images [PaperArtsy] on to white card and edged them with distress ink.

Thank you for looking, have a lovely day.
xxx Hazel.

Steampunk Hanging

I started of by painting some burgundy corrugated card with orange and white acrylic paint, then I coloured some white card with tattered rose, antique linen and dried marigold distress ink using the direct to paper technique, I stamped lots of images on top of this using broken china and tea die distress ink and black archival ink. I cut out three images from a piece of Graphic 45 Steampunk Debutante paper, then I attached it all to the backing card. I added cogs etc and wrapped some wire round a pencil to get the curly wire.
The stamps I used are by Katzelkraft and 7 Gypsies.
I'm entering this into Simon Says Stamp and Show some metal challenge and Just For Fun steampunk challenge.

Tea Time

This is my entry for for the May Altered Alice challenge. The theme is time. For this I thought I'd use my lovely new Tim Holtz Sizzix Alterations weathered clock die. For the background I used a piece of Graphics 45 Steampunk Debutante paper. The clock, clock background and letters were cut from some card I coloured months ago, I can't remember what I used to colour them, I really must start writing down ingredients on the backs of things I colour. The Mad Hatters Tea Party is a Lost Coast Designs stamp and I coloured it with Promarkers and went over it with some frayed burlap Distress ink.

Have Some Me Time

I coloured the edge of a 6" card blank with some peeled paint distress ink and stamped the flourish with the same colour in the top two corners. I've used Graphic45 steampunk debutante papers, they're double sided so I put one side across the bottom half of the card and made a panel with the other side matted onto black card. I attached this across the middle of the card, then I attached a strip of tissue tape. The image and sentiment was stamped onto white card and coloured with distress inks, then I cut them out and used foam pads to stick to the card. Last but not least I added a cog and game spinner.

Stamps used.
The Artistic Stamper, the main image.
PaperArtsy, the sentiment.
Stamp Bug, the flourish.
