Today I'm sharing with you the journal page that I've for Art Journal Monday on the Mixed Media Mojo challenge blog.
My page is A4 size,
I started by gluing book pages, decorated paper, pink lace and tissue tape to the page, I stamped some Dina Wakley birds but they disappeared underneath all the later.paint layers.
I scraped some white acrylic paint on the page with a credit card.
I scraped some acrylic paint and stamped some numbers using a stamp from the Stampers Anonymous Documented stamp set.
A bit more white paint.
I added a couple of die cuts and cut out some flowers and birds from patterned paper and glued them to the page, I also stamped some Dina Wakley leaves with olive Archival ink. The dies I used are from the Sizzix Thinlits scrabbles and splat set.
The last thing I did was to add colour and shading to the images with Pitt pens, I also added some doodles with a black and white pen.
I'd like to enter my piece in the following challenge
Mixed Media World - Use Bright Colours.

April Showers and Umbrellas
Good morning all. The project I'm sharing with you today is for two challenges.
The Craft Barn's April Calendar challenge, the theme is Blue and Umbrellas.
The Mixed Media Monthly April Showers challenge, I took my inspiration from Mr Umbrella Man.
I coloured the background with Gelatos then stamped the small Stampers Anonymous Umbrella Men. I die cut the large Umbrella Man out of one of my Gelli prints and stamped some sript on him. I mixed some turquoise brushos with water and let it run down the page. For the quote I used a Doo Lally Pip stamp.

The Documented Life Project - Week 8
Hi everyone, I hope you had a good weekend, I went to the Big Stamp and Scrapbooking Show at Alexandra Palace on Saturday, had a good day meeting friends and spending some money although I didn't spend as much as I usually do.
I'd like to share with you week 8 of the DLP challenge, the challenge for the week is Repeating Elements. I decided to do squares as I remembered that in 2013 I made an inchie every week for the Every Inchie Monday challenge, I never did anything with the inchies, they were put into an envelope and forgotten, the pages in my journal are A4 size, big enough to take all 52 inchies.
I'm linking my journal pages to Rhedd's Creative Spirit Anything Goes challenge.
These are the finished pages.
I started by drawing the grid and adding the calendar page.
I then coloured the squares with Inktense pencils and a water brush. I coloured the rest of the page with a red watercolour crayon and went over the lines with a black pen, I also drew squiggles on the lines but they're not on this photo.
I stamped some squares [Hero Arts] with distress ink in the blank areas and glued in the inchies.

Favourite Poems and Quotes
Favourite Poems and Quotes is the theme for this months challenge at Art Journal Journey.
I decided to use The Rhyme Of The Ancient Mariner for my page, it's a poem that I remember doing for my exams at school.
There's a very small line drawing at the end of the poem in my book, so I adapted it for my page. I drew the design and painted the sky and sun with acrylic paint. I painted the sea with acrylic paint and then sprinkled turquoise and emerald green brushos on it, then I gave it a spray of water. The ship and albatross were painted with acrylic paint and I drew lines on the sea to show that there wasn't a wave in sight. I decided to put the albatross in the picture even though by the time the ship was becalmed he'd been killed by the ancient mariner.
Here's a close up of the verse.
I was going to use the verse "Water water everywhere" but decided the one I used was more apt.

Time Deco Pages
Good morning everyone and a big welcome to my new followers. I hope you are all having a lovely Easter weekend.
The KCUK 2015 Deco Swap is well under way, there are ten entrants this year, these are the pages that I made for Wendy, the theme of her book is Time.
For this page I coloured the background with Gelatos and stamped some clocks and script.
I die cut the Weathered Clock out of one of my mono prints and spread some DecoArt crackle glaze over it. I glued it to the page when it had dried and added the main image.
I used Creative Expression stamps for all the stamping.
I coloured the background for this page with acrylic paints and stamped the Crafty Individuals image over it. I stamped the main image [unknown stamp] onto white card, coloured it and cut it out. I put glossy accents on the face and added a clock charm. I added the sentiment [Creative Expressions].

First DT Post For The Mixed Media Mojo Challenge
I'm very excited to have been chosen to join the Mixed Media Mojo Challenge Design Team - this is my first project for them.
The theme for the April challenge is Recycle/Upcycle and the twist is Flower.
I've made a vase using a plastic Options jar.
I started by glueing lace, die cut leaves and flowers to the jar.
Then I went back to the days of when I use to decorate cakes and used a piping bag with modelling paste to pipe some squiggly lines and dots. I did try to use a stencil but it was difficult because of the shape of the jar.
I painted the jar with white gesso.
I then painted the jar with DecoArt acrylic paint.
I made a wash of hansa yellow paint and let it run down the from the top of the jar, when this was dry I did the same with paynes grey.
Here is a close up of the runs.
This is the finished vase with some daffodils. I had hoped the buds would have opened by the time the photo was taken, but it was not to be. The only thing I don't like about the vase are the roses that I put on - I should have left it plain.
The rest of the DT have made some fabulous projects so why not pop over to the MMMC to take a look,

Spring Hanging
It's the first of the month and time for a new challenge at Altered Eclectics, as always the theme is Anything Goes but it must be mixed media/altered art, no cards are allowed.
My DT piece this month is a Spring Hanging.
I started by painting the base with gesso and then acrylic paint, then I stamped the flower to position it. I added a die cut and some lace and brushed some acrylic paint over them.
I stencilled some yellow dianmond shapes and stamped some script and mesh.
I sprinkled some brushos on the lace and die cut, then I sprayed some water and let it run, I also splattered watered down white acrylic paint.
I stamped the flower and rabbits onto card, the flower and leaves were stamped twice, I cut them out after colouring them with felt tips, then I adhered them to the hanging. I added some die cut letters, flowers and black gems in the centre of the flowers.
The stamps I used are
PaperArtsy/Lin Brown - the flower,
Crafty Individuals - the rabbits.
Why don't you check out the challenge, my team mates have made some fabulous samples.
