The Creative Expressions Design Team have been sent this lovely stamp set, designed by Sam Poole, to work with this month.
I decided to make something other than a card for my DT piece this week, so I've made a Post It Note holder.
I made the holder to fit a 3" square Post It Note pad.
The covers were made with grey board and I covered them with paper that I'd coloured with evergreen bough, tumbled glass, worn lipstick and vintage photo Distress ink. I used the evergreen bough to stamp images over the covers. The bird house was stamped with Coffee Archival ink and coloured with felt tips, the tiny birds were stamped with black ink.
Here is a side view.

The Voices Spoke Only To Her
I'm a little late this week with my DT piece for Creative Expressions, it's been one of those weeks.
I made this card with the Studio 490/Wendy Vecchi Voice of Art stamp set, I also used the background stamp from the Sentimental Art set.
I stamped the background onto vellum with pearlescent coral Brilliance ink, after attaching it to a card blank I edged it with aged mahogany and vintage photo Distress ink.
For the die cuts I used Spellbinders Assorted Leaves, Bird Sanctuary and Fleur De Lis Accents dies.
I embellished the card with lace, ribbon, fabric roses and pearls.
I'm entering my card in The Artistic Stamper Creative Team Blog Ribbons and Lace Challenge.

Ink It Up at the Craft-Room
Another fortnight has gone by and it's time for another challenge at the Craft-Room. Nikki has chosen the theme for the latest challenge and she wants you all to ink your work with rubber/clear stamps, Digi Stamps are not allowed for this challenge.
Our sponsor for this challenge is Rogue Redhead Designs.
I decided to do a canvas for my DT piece.
A couple of weeks ago I watched a demonstration by Helen Chilton at the Craft Barn, she was using bleach to colour her stamping, so I thought I'd give it a go.
I coloured a piece of white card with Kaleidacolor ink by swiping the ink pad onto my mat and spraying it with water. I used PaperArtsy stamps and black Stazon for my images and then I painted the images with thick bleach to take out the colour. The bleach takes away the colour but doesn't affect the Stazon. I used a red and blue coloured pencil to lightly colour part of the boat and the mans cloths. I ripped the edges and coloured them with rusty hinge Distress ink. I embellished my piece with a couple of cogs and chain before adhering it to a canvas that I'd coloured with faded jeans and rusty hinge Distress stain. I coloured a Tando Creative compass with a black acrylic dabber and some silver wax and then adhered it to the canvas.
The rest of the Design Team have done some wonderful samples so please visit the Craft-Room Challenge blog and take a look.
Thank you everyone that entered the Music Challenge, your entries were fabulous. We will announce the winners next week.
I'm entering my piece in the following challenges.
Simon Says Stamp and Show Anything Goes.
Fashionable Stamping Challenge Nautical.
Let's Ink It Up Distressing.
Happy Daze Design Team Challenge April Showers.

A Sea of Greens
I had a great day at Alexandra Palace on Saturday, met lots of lovely people, watched some great demonstrations and of course spent a little bit of money. Amongst the goodies that I bought were some Pan Pastels. I never thought that I needed them until I saw them being demonstrated, now I'm hooked.
The Artful Times latest challenge theme is A Sea of Greens and as I had two greens in the Pan Pastels that I'd bought I decided to see what I could do with them and this is the result.
I coloured some white card with the paler green Pan Pastel and then I stencilled some Versamark through a lovely Crafters Workshop fern mask and then I carefully went over the Versamark with the darker green Pan Pastel. I sprayed some cheap hairspray over the card to seal the pastels. I edged the card with shabby shutters and forest moss Distress ink. I liked the effect that I'd got so decided to keep the card simple and just added the PaperArtsy sentiment, some flowers and some ribbon that I'd dyed with Distress Stains.
I was very pleased with my first attempt with the pastels but the photo isn't very good, in real life the green is very bright.

Signed Sealed and Delivered
This is my latest DT card for Creative Expressions using the Studio 490/Wendy Vecchi Voice of Art stamp set.
I coloured some white paper with old paper Distress ink and stamped the ledger with coffee Archival ink, I tore the edges and coloured them with vintage photo distress ink. I adhered the paper to a card blank that I'd made with some Woodware brown recycled card. The main image was stamped and embossed and adhered to a piece of the recycled card, I added some string and sealing wax, I also added an old American postage stamp.

Music Man
It's my turn to choose the theme for this fortnights Craft-Room Challenge and the theme I've chosen is Music.
The sponser for the challenge is Tando Creative.
Before I show you my DT piece I'd like to thank all of you that took part in the Bling Glitter and Sparkle challenge, we had some fabulous entries.
For my DT piece I made a hanging.
I used mountboard for the base and coloured it with various colours of Distress ink and I used a couple of Crafters Workshop masks to give the base a bit of a pattern.
I stamped the poster, G man, guitar and Music Man onto card, cut them out and coloured them with vintage photo Distress ink. The rest of the images were stamped dirictly onto the base.
I painted the Tando Creative chipboard word music and the chipboard music at the bottom with black acrylic paint and attached them to the base.
The stamps that I used are,
PaperArtsy, the one man band, music man and G man.
Hampton art, the jazz band, poster and jazz age.
