The image is from a Gecko Galz collage sheet and for everything else I used a CraftArtist digi kit.

Inchie Map

Before I show you my inchie I'd like to thank you for wishing me better, I'm a lot better now and getting back into the swing of things.
I'd also like to welcome and say thank you to all my new followers - I  hope that you enjoy looking at the things that I make.
I'd also like to apologise for my lack of commenting, I didn't feel like doing anything last week and I've been without a computer for a few days as my laptop died. My lovely husband Ian said that I could have a new one - so here I am doing my first post with my lovely new lap top. There are a few things that I've got to figure out on it but hope to be back commenting next week.
The theme for the Every Inchie Monday challenge is Map.

I have an Artistic Stamper stamp with a globe on it so I used part of it for my inchie. The background was made using Distress ink and water.

Everyday Things ATCs

A very quick post today as I'm feeling very sorry for myself at the moment - I've been rather poorly the last couple of days, I've started to feel better but don't want to do very much apart from sleep.

The theme for the UK Stampers March ATC swap is Everyday Things.

I used images from the Gecko Galz Domestic Goddess collage sheets.
I printed the images three times and 3D decoupaged them.

Here are a couple more cards using the same stamps but I used Dylusions inks for the background.

In The Garden - Anything But A Card

Well another fortnight has flown by and it's time for another  Craft-Room Challenge . The theme is "In The Garden - Anything but a card" and it has been chosen by the lovely Suzanne, she would love to see your layouts, tags, altered art, boxes etc - anything you like inspired by the garden.

Our sponsors for the challenge are  Crafty Embelies . They make wonderful wooden embellishments.

The rest of the DT have made some wonderful creations and we also have a guest designer the very talented Helene, her blog is 2amscrapper, hope you all go there and say hello, too! She will be our GDT for the two next challenges.
If you are interested being our GDT, please put the "GDT" after your name when entering our challenge.
Here is my creation.

Just before last Christmas I bought a copy of the magazine Homemaker and there was a Christmas project with a dove sitting on a spool - I didn't have time to make it for Christmas so I decided to change it slightly and make it for the challenge.
I found some fabric in my stash and made the dove following the instructions in the magazine. I hand stitched it rather than use my sewing machine.
I then wrapped some lace round a wooden spool and then wrapped some wire round curling the ends.
I adhered a piece of hessian to the top of the spool and then added folded strips of fabric. I had the base already in my stash and adhered a piece of fabric to it, fraying the ends - I then adhered the spool to the base.
I made some flowers out of hessian, material and brads and attached them to the base and spool together with some flowers from my stash, the last thing I did was to adhere my dove to the top of the spool.

Here is a closer look at the base.

Inchie Footstep

The theme at Every Inchie Monday is Footstep.
For my inchie I decided to take a photo of my footstep in the mud on my dog walk yesterday morning.

I also took this photo of lots of muddy footprints - I'll be so glad when the ground starts to dry out, but the dogs love it.

KCUK Deco Swap

The KCUK 2013 Deco Book Swap is well under way and I'd like to share the pages that I made for June - her theme is Steampunk, in fact steampunk is the theme for a few of the members in my group.

I coloured the background with old paper Distress ink direct to the card and used dusty concord and vintage photo to stamp the images.
I covered some card with aluminium foil. I stamped the main image onto card and coloured with Promarkers and stamped it again onto the metal card with black Stazon. I went over the stamping with an embossing tool and then cut out parts of the images and adhered them over the coloured image. I did the moth in the same way. I embellished the page with cogs and chain and I gave her a hat cut out of the metal card.
The stamps that I used are
7Gypsies and Creative Expressions for the background.
Non Sequitur for the main image.
PaperArtsy for the moth.

I coloured the card with spun sugar Distress ink direct to the card and used victorian velvet and vintage photo to stamp the background. The flower and leaves were stamped onto the metal card with black Stazon and cut out. I stamped the lady and coloured her with spiced marmalade then cut her out. I embellished the card with cogs.
Stamps that I used are
Scrolls Work, 7Gypsies and PaperArtsy for the background.
Stampington for the lady.
PaperArtsy for the flower.

Tamp - a - Tile

The first challenge for March at KCUK is to make a card using the Tamp - a - Tile technique. You can see the technique here.
This is the card I made.

I used a Paperbag Studios stamp for the main image, the rest of the stamps were a mixture that I forgot write the makers names down.
I used picked raspberries and peacock feathers Distress ink to colour the card.

Alpha Challenge - Letter M

The latest Craft Barn Alpha Challenge is the letter M but we can only choose a word between Ma and Me. My word is Mermaid.

I used felt tips to colour the images, I put a ring round the word Mermaid and for some reason coloured it pink so it doesn't show up very well.
Stamps that I used
Stampotique for the mermaid.
Creative Expressions for the bubbles.
Elusive Images for the edge.

Happy Mothers Day

Sunday Postcard Art are celebrating mothers this week.

I've made two postcards this week. The first one has a photo of my mum on it - it was taken in the 50s and sadly she's no longer with us.
Apart from the photo I used CraftArtist digi kits.

I used CraftArtist digi kits for my second card and an image from Bumble Button.

Little Birdie ATCs

I made these ATCs for the UK Stampers February ATC swap.

I started by brayering some acrylic paint onto card, when this was dry I cut them to size and stamped the birds. The larger birds and words were stamped onto colured card and cut out. I added a little bird charm.
The stamps that I used are
Stampers Anonymous for the background birds.
Lost Coast Designs for the larger bird.
T J Designs for the words.

Butterfly Plaque

Here is my latest DT piece for Gecko Galz. I used some of the fabulous March products.

Gecko Galz Images from Ephemera Days.
Gecko Galz Background Paper from the Pocket Full Of Posies Set.
Base For The Plaque.
Fresco Finish Paints - At Least Two Colours.
Fresco Finish Crackle Glaze.
Tissue Tape.
Walnut Stain Distress Ink.
Artistic Stamper Rubber Stamps.
Stickles.
Wire.
Staples.

Print the butterfly image twice and cut out one of the butterflies, crop the butterfly out of the image and reduce the size and print it three times and cut them out. Cover the cut out butterflies with the stickles and leave to dry.
Paint the plaque base, when dry paint with the crackle glaze, when this is dry paint the plaque again with a different colour. When the paint starts cracking you can speed the drying with a heat gun.
Stamp the base with your chosen images then ink the edge of the base with the walnut stain.
Adhere the tissue tape.
Tear edges of the images and background paper, ink with walnut stain, staple parts of the images and then adhere to the plaque.
Wrap the wire round a cocktail stick to make the coils, adhere to the larger butterfly. Adhere the butterflies to the plaque.

From Me To You

Here is my very late posting for my DT project for the  Craft-Room Challenge.

Zoe has chosen the theme and she would like you all the make a gift for someone - the gift I have made is for a young person.

I decided to alter a frame.
I have quite a lot of die cut flowers left over from kits that I bought from QVC years and years ago, so I adhered some to the frame before I painted it. The frame was painted with acrylic paint. When the paint dried I add the gems.
I used a WendyVecchi stamp. I coloured the background with distress ink and splattered with water, when this was dry I stamped the script.
I coloured some card with different coloured Dylusions spray and stamped the flower a few times, then I cut out parts of the flower and pieced them together on the background. I added gems to the leaf.
I also made a card to go with it.

I used a Distress stain on the background and added the flower.

The rest of the DT have made some amazing pieces so why not visit the Craft-Room Challenge blog to take a look.

We had some fabulous entries in our Something For A Man challenge and I don't envy Julia having to choose her top three.

Music Man Tags

I'd like to share with you the tags that I made for the KCUK February tag swap - the theme was black and white.

I brayered some white acrylic paint onto my glass mat and pressed my black tags into it. When the paint had dried I put some tissue tape along the bottom and added some eyelets . I stamped the image and words onto white card and cut them out and adhered them to the tags. The stamps that I used are by PaperArtsy. I used tissue tape as the ribbon.

I'm entering my tags in the following challenge.
The Artistic Stamper Tags challenge.
