Tulip card

I hope you all enjoyed the Christmas festivities, as usual it went far to quickly and I ate much too much chocolate - definitely on a diet in the New Year.

I'd like to share a card that I made a couple of months ago.

I sprayed a card blank and a piece of white card with bubblegum pink Dylusions ink then matted the card onto some black card and adhered it to the card blank. I took another piece of white card and stamped the stitches [Woodware stamp] and added the ribbon. I used a Studio 490/Wendy Vecchi stamp and stamped it a couple of times onto different coloured card, then I cut them out and layered the different coloured parts.

Craft-Room Challenge - Make A Tag

Another fortnight has gone by so it's time for another Craft-Room Challenge. It's my turn to choose the challenge and I'd like you all to Make A Tag. Your tag can be any shape and you can decorate it with whatever takes your fancy.

This is our last challenge this year as we are taking a break over Christmas so you have four weeks to create and enter your tag.

The sponsors for our challenge is Flonzcraft a stamp company based in New Zealand.

The rest of the DT have made some wonderful tags so why not visit the Craft-Room to take a look.

I used bundled sage and fired brick Distress stain to colour my tag, then I adhered some white hand made paper and lace. I used a Spellbinders holly motif die and coloured it with Distress ink. The stamp I used is a Flonzcraft stamp - I coloured the image with watercolour pencils. I added a Sizzix Stacked Word sentiment that I'd coloured with distress ink. I also used some Stickles but it doesn't show up on the photo. I added some gems and ribbon.

We had some wonderful entries in our Ooh La La challenge, thank you everyone that took part.

Andy Skinner Workshop

On Sunday I went to the Craft Barn for fabulous Mixed Media Workshop run by Andy Skinner, using Stix 2 Canvas.

Andy had printed the images onto the Stix 2 canvas and we all had a great time playing with paints, oil pastels, multi matte medium, texture paste and much more. I copied my friend Alison by putting a letter over the eye.

The London Eye and Oh What A Frosty Morning

Last night a group of eight of us went on a Champagne Experience on the London Eye to celebrate our friends birthday. I'd been on the Eye a few years ago during the day and was very excited to be going on it at night - I wasn't dissapointed - it was fabulous. We all went for a lovely meal afterwards and had a great evening. Here are some of the photo's that I took, they're not brilliant but you get the idea.

Despite not getting to bed until the early hours of the morning we still managed to get out at 7am to take the dogs for a walk and boy was it cold, -2 degrees. Here are some frosty photo's.
