Block Printed Card

When I went to Ally Pally earlier in the year I had a go at block printing and of course I had to buy some of the wooden blocks.and wondered what they would be like printing onto card. I had a few goes and found that they print better with a foam mat underneath the paper/card.

This is a card that I made for my friend Alison, she went to India earlier in the year and saw lots of elephants.

For the background I used blocks and acrylic paint to stamp onto a gelli print. I added some gold foil, stamped the elephants and doodled round the edge, I glued some sari ribbon and added the Artistic Stamper quote.

This is a close up to show the gold foil.

Thank you for looking.

Titanic is the latest theme for the Sunday Postcard Art challenge.

I sprayed my postcard with water and sprinkled Infusions powder over it. I added some tissue tape at the top and some ric rac ribbon at the bottom. I distressed some images that I got of the internet and glued them to the card.

Thank you for looking, have a lovely day.

SPA - Asian/Oriental

Good morning everyone, I hope you are having a good weekend.
I'm hosting this weeks Sunday Postcard Art challenge and the theme I've chosen is Asian/Oriental.

I covered my postcard with some oriental patterned paper and stamped some bamboo leaves with galaxy gold Brilliance ink. I found the image in my stash, it's printed on vellum so I attached it to some white card with gold brads. The framed image and happiness character were stamped with black archival. I added the red cord, the punched out happiness character and some metal charms.

Here is a close up showing the gold bamboo leaves.

The stamps that I used are,

PSX - bamboo leaves.
Framed image - unknown.
Happiness character - unknown.

Thank you for dropping by, enjoy your Sunday.

Floral Cards

Good morning all.

I'm not doing much crafting at the moment so I thought I'd share some cards that I made a couple of months ago.

The cards were all made the same way, I used two Impression Obsession stamps for the background. I used different colour distress inks on the stamps and sprayed them with water before stamping onto watercolour paper.  The La Blanche flower images were stamped onto copy paper, coloured and cut out before being glued to the cards. I added the PaperArtsy word and some ribbon that was attached to the cards with staples.

Thank you for looking.

T Is For Thingamagig

The letter T is the latest letter in the Craft Barns Alpha/Dictionary challenge. I was going to do the word time for my entry but when I was looking for a suitable stamp I found a stamp of the word Thingamagig so I looked in the dictionary to see if it was in there and it was although they spell it with a U - Thingumagig.

I coloured the watercolour card with distress inks and stamped some cogs. The images were stamped onto tissue paper and glued to the card. I stamped the word and letter T and added the dictionary reference.

Stamps used,
PaperArtsy - background cogs.
Scrolls Works - two of the images.
7 Gypsies - one of the images.
Stampers Anonymous - Another image.

Thank you for looking.
