Steampunk Deco Pages

I'd like to thank my new followers for following me - I hope you enjoy looking at my work.

Today I'd like to share with you the two pages that I made for Wendy in the KCUK deco swap - her theme is steampunk.

I used Distress inks to colour and stamp the background. I stamped the flower onto gold metal and embossed it then cut it out and attached it to the page with a game spinner and brad. The light bulb was stamped onto card, I cut it out and covered it with glossy accents. I added a few metal cogs.
The stamps I used are
PaperArtsy for the background and flower.
Stampers Anonymous for the three gents and light bulb.

I used distress inks to colour and stamp the background. For the glasses I stamped the image onto white card and acetate - I cut them both out and adhered the acetate over the stamped image. I adhered them to the page and added some chain. I embellished the page with cogs and some gems. I stamped the words and cut them out before adhering to the page.
The stamps that I used are
Karantha stamps for the background and main images.
Stampers Anonymous for the background.
7Gypsies for the background.

  15. Hazel, both pages are amazing! Steampunk intrigues me, but I'm a bit threatened by it. I'm hoping if I look at wonderful examples like yours, something will rub off on me and I'll be able to start creating it!!

  21. Hi Hazel! Such a broad range of styles and all masterful! I love your work. Thank you for becoming a follower of my work. It means a great deal to me. I think I previously became a follower of your work as I receive alerts of your new posts, though I do not see evidence on your blog. I will sort this out and correct the situation if necessary. Have a great weekend! Yvonne
