Mad Tea Party Journal Page

Good morning all, it's a lovely bright morning here - a bit chilly though.

I'm linking my page to the Art Journal Journey challenge the theme is Magical Mystery Tour.

My old London bus whooshed me through the swirly tunnel to visit the Mad Hatter's Tea Party,

I decided to have a go at a digital page and for the background I used one of my photographs of a field of buttercups.

I added images from a My Craft Studio programme called Make A Date. When I was happy with the result I printed it and glued into my journal.

I painted the swirl with white acrylic paint and stamped the Emma Godfrey swirl with black Archival ink. I stamped the Paperartsy bus onto shrink plastic with Stazon and shrunk it, I glued it to the page. I cut some words out of an old Alice In Wonderland book, stamped some Indigo Blu words and a Non Sequitur clock and added them to the page. I doodled round the edge of the page.

Thank you for dropping by to take a look.

A Red Red Rose

Good morning everyone, not done much crafting for awhile as some nasty bug has laid me low for a couple of weeks but I'm getting better and have started to feel human again. Today I'm sharing a journal page that I've made for the Art Journal Journey challenge - If Music Be The Food Of Love. I've taken my inspiration from the Robert Burns poem "A Red Red Rose".

I covered my page with a piece of gift wrap.

Then I gave it a coat of gesso using a brayer. I used a My Craft Studio silhouette image for the couple  and added some tissue wrap music and some roses cut out of the gift wrap that I had left. I printed the Robert Burns poem.

Here is the poem, sorry it's a bit blurred.

Thank you for looking.

Ballerina Card

It's my daughters 27th birthday today and this is the card I've made for her. When she was a child she was very slight and looked so frail and I thought she might make a dancer, so of she went to ballet lessons, but it was not to be, she moved like a 4 year old fairy elephant with two left feet, but not only that - she hated it, although  she always, and still does, enjoy going to watch a ballet.
I've used the beautiful Gecko Galz ballerina image and I printed the lovely ballet shoes from a My Craft Studio CD. I covered a card blank with some paper from my stash and added some satin ribbon, a couple of lovely fluffy feathers and the images that I'd matted onto a pearly pink card.

Computer Card

I made this card for my friend's son's birthday using a My Craft Studio CD. Everything has been done on the computer apart from the black peel offs around the edge of the card and the main image. I double embossed the larger guitar to make it stand out a bit more and I attached it to the card with foam pads.

Colour Challenge

At Bella Creations I belong to one of their groups called Nuances De Couleur and this is the card I made for their February challenge. The image I used is off a My Craft Studio CD. I did manage to put a little bit of stamping on it, the flourishes in the corner.
