Southern Gals 5x7 Challenge Day 2

Hi all. This week I'm joining in with the Southern Gals 5x7 art challenge. We have to make a piece of art in 5 minutes for 7 days. I did day 1 but I didn't finish it in 5 minutes so I'm going to finish it before I blog it.

I'm entering my page in the Art Journal Journey Art For Art's Sake challenge.

This is what I managed to do in 5 minutes on day 2.

I used Dylusions ink spray on the background and inked a Justrite stamp with a distress oxide ink pad, sprayed it with water and stamped it on the page. I stamped the Dina Wakley bird with black archival ink.

After the 5 minutes I decided to finish the page with some stamped script, a Tim Holtz paper doll, Crafty Individuals wings and Dylusions words. I scribbled round the edge of the page.

Thank you for dropping by to take a look, have a lovely day. x

  3. The background is a nice artwork itself so pur and simple with the nice bird.
But after the finish it looks gorgeous. Great design!

  6. The 5 minute version of this journal spread is wonderful, but the finished page is out of this world. This is an incredible entry with the paper doll and the added sentiment, too. It's a fabulous entry and we are delighted you shared it with us at Art Journal Journey.
