Art Deco Lady

Hi everyone, I hope you’re all well and enjoying the weekend.
I’ve not been very well for the last couple of weeks, I caught a nasty virus from somewhere, I’ve not been able to get out and have spent most of the time in bed or under a blanket on the settee. No crafting has been done in my room but I’ve managed to do some embroidery which has made a nice change. I’ve started to feel a little better so hopefully I’ll be more my old self by the end of next week.

I’ve been looking through my photos and found a few projects that haven’t been blogged yet so I’ll share A couple of them with you.

The two spreads were made for the Art Journal Summer School 2019.

I drew the lady and painted her with acrylic paint, the background was made with bits of paper and painted. The left page is just a piece of patterned paper that I wrote on.

For this lesson we had to see what colours we could make with four watercolours.

Thank you for visiting, have a lovely weekend. xxx

  1. Sorry to hear that you have been ill, please get well soon. LOVE your flapper lady, she is fantastic! And the colour mix page is great, too. Hugs, Valerie

  3. So sorry to hear you've been under the weather, but I'm glad it gave you a chance to share these projects from the summer. Love the elegant flapper, and those watercolour mixes are great. It's one of my favourite things to do with watercolours... just making colour charts to see what's possible.

  4. That's a great technique to help you really understand your colours. I should be more disciplined and do it more often! It's very pretty in itself xx
