Good morning everyone.
I've just joined Nina Ribena's Art Journal Prompts and More Facebook group. Each week she gives us a new challenge, this week the challenge is to use the Retiform technique, it's a technique that I did years ago, I think it we use to call it the grid technique.
I used distress ink to make the grid and stamped the Paperartsy sheep with Archival ink, I coloured the sheep with coloured pencils.
Thank you for dropping by, have a lovely day. xxx

SPA - Birdhouses
Birdhouses are the theme for this weeks Sunday Postcard Art challenge.
I had a look through my stamps to see if I had a birdhouse one and the only one I could find was a small silhouette so I looked through some magazines and found this image of a birdhouse made of books. I cut it out and adhered it to a background that had been stencilled with brushos. I didn't do much to the image just added some pen marks and words. The robin was part of a paper napkin. The flying birds were stamped with a Tim Holtz stamp.
Thank you for taking the time to take a look. xxx

Gothic Arch - Stitches
Good afternoon everybody.
Today I'm sharing with you a Gothic Arch that I've made for the UK Stampers challenge, the theme is Stitches.
I used a patterned paper for the background and added some gesso and acrylic paint with my finger, I kept the paint thin so that the paper pattern showed through in places. I stamped the Aall & Create scissors and sewing machine with black Archival ink. The main image was stamped with a Tim Holtz stamp onto white card, I edged it with distress ink and coloured one of the images with pencil. A few weeks ago I got my sewing machine out to practise some stitches, I added some of my stitched samples together with some buttons to the arch. I added some doodles stitches round the edge.
Thank you for visiting. xxx

Collage Journal Page
I can’t believe that it’s June already and time for another Altered Eclectics challenge, as always the theme is Anything Goes as long as your work is mixed media/altered art, no cards or ATCs are allowed.
I started by adhering strips of patterned, music and a book page that I’d stamped some Tim Holtz bugs on to the page, then I applied gesso and acrylic paint. Paper napkins were then adhered to two corners of the page and I stamped some script. The two main images were torn out of a magazine, I distressed the edges and adhered them to the page. The last thing I did was to add some remnant rubs, word stickers and edge the page with black soot distress ink.
Thank you for taking a look, have a lovely day. xxx Hazel.
