SPA - The Holly and/or The Ivy

I'm happy to be hosting this weeks Sunday Postcard Art challenge. The theme that I've chosen is The Holly and/or The Ivy.


I sponged distress ink to colour the background and stamped the Crafter's Companion Holly Fairy stamp with black Archival ink, I also stamped some ivy leaves round the edge. I coloured the image and ivy with watercolour pencils and a brush. I put some gold foil round the edge, it doesn't show up very well in the photo apart from a little bit in the right hand corner.

    Hazel, this is just so lovely and you have taken me right back to one of the books I loved in my childhood.
    You coloured this to perfection, it has a lovely vintage, nostalgic feel to it.

    I grew up on Cicely M Barker's Flower Fairies - so they always make me happy. Gorgeous colouring!
