Embroidery Lessons

Here is my latest DT piece for Gecko Galz using the gorgeous June products.
I used a very small frame and part of an old embroidered tablecloth that I found at a charity shop - I cut out one of the flowers and attached it but wish I'd left it off.

Embroidery Lesson Hanging
Images from the Gecko Galz Sew It Goes Collage Sheet.
Background Paper from the Gecko Galz Gatsby paper set.
Mounboard.
Acrylic Paint.
Small Embroidery Frame and a piece of embroidery to fit it.
Vintage Photo Distress Ink.
Modelling Paste.
Treasure Brass Metallic Wax Finish.
Embroidery Thread, Buttons, Pins, Needle and a Scissor Charm.
Spread some of the modelling paste around the edge of the board. When it has dried paint the board with the acrylic paint and then using your finger spread some of the wax along the edge.
Tear a piece of the background paper and adhere to the board.
Distress the edges of the images and colour with the Distress ink then adhere them to the board.
Wrap some of the thread around the top and adhere some lace to the bottom.
My frame was made of red plastic so I coloured it with the Treasure Brass, then I added the embroidery and adhered it to the board.
Add the embellishments.
