SPA - Carte Postale

Good morning all, I hope you're having a lovely weekend.

Carte Postale has to be somewhere on our postcards in the latest Sunday Postcard Art challenge.

For the background I glued a napkin to the postcard. All the stamps are Tim Holtz stamps and I used Archival ink. I found the butterflies in my stash, I'd stamped them a long time ago and I think I used distress ink.

Thank you for dropping by, enjoy your Sunday. xxx Hazel.

Friends Journal Page

Good morning everyone, I've a journal page to share with you today.

My Friend is the theme for the Try It On Tuesday challenge and Colour My World is the theme for the Art Journal Journey challenge. My favourite colour is green and my favourite colour combination is green and pink although there is more pink than green on my page.

I coloured the background with Distress Oxides and stamped with Archival ink. I used a stencil for the leaves. The stamps that I used are Paperartsy, Seth Apter and Kaisercraft.

I found some lovely napkins at Ally Pally last weekend, one of them had pink roses on so I cut out some roses and glued them to the page.

I added some Tim Holtz images and stamped some words with Art Impressions and Dyan Reaveley/Dylusions stamps.

The words are
A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words.

Girlfriends make the best accessories.

Thank you for visiting me, have a lovely day. xxx Hazel.

Seahorse Postcard

Good morning all, today I'm sharing a postcard that I made for a swap earlier in the year.

I used Samantha Braund Arts stamps and stencils.

I used distress inks to colour the background and sprayed water over it, I also used distress inks with the stencils. I used a white pen to draw dots and a black marker to scribble round the edge. The stamping was done with black Archival ink.

A close up of the script.

Thank you for taking a look, have a lovely day.

Altered Notebook Cover

It's the start of a new month so it's time for a new challenge at Altered Eclectics, as always the theme is Anything Goes - no cards allowed. For my Project this month I've altered the cover of a notebook.

This is the notebook that I used. I started by covering the book with a gelli print and some torn patterned paper, then I added some thread. I coloured the centre panel with distress oxide and added some tissue tape. The Stampers Anonymous flowers were stamped with black Archival ink and coloured with pitt pens. I also stamped a couple of flowers on white card, coloured them with pitt pens, cut them out and glued them over the stamped images. The notebook was embellished with ribbon, metal charm, remnent rubs and word stickers.

The rest of the design team have made some lovely projects and they would love you to take a look. Happy crafting. xxx Hazel.
