Reverse Masking

One of the challenges at KCUK last month was reverse masking, these are the two cards that I made for the challenge.

I have a lot of aperture cards that I never use so for both cards I've used the apertures for my mask.
I sponged distress inks through the mask and then flicked water on it. After removing the mask I stamped the lovely Inkadinkado cat and drew a shadow at the bottom of the image to ground it. I stamped the Artistic Stamper sentiment.

This card was done exactly the same way minus the flicked water.
The trees are an Inkadinkado stamp, I've no idea who made the dream stamp.

  1. Beautiful cards and love the technique, and I have a huge stack of aperture cards somewhere....Valerie

  2. Both are terrific and I have never tried the technique so must have a go after your inspiring work
