Inchie - Song

Song is the theme at Every Inchie Monday this week. I wasn't sure what to do so I looked through my stamps and found a couple that I thought would fit the theme.

The background bird stamp is part of a Crafty Individuals stamp and the mains image is a T J Designs stamp.

I didn't get time to share my inchie with you last week so here it is now, the theme was Pocket Watch.

I used a Cherry Pie Art Stamp of the rabbit from Alice In Wonderland looking at his watch. I stamped it onto shrink plastic.

Something New

Another fortnight has flown by and it's time for another Craft-Room Challenge the theme is Something New and it has been chosen by the lovely Debi, this is what she has to say about why she chose the theme.

For my theme I got thinking..... and  if you're anything like me, you either have a heap of new stash still waiting to be used, or your Pinterest Boards are full of techniques that you want to try but just haven't got round to it yet lol.  So I thought lets have a challenge that might get us using some new stash or a new technique.

Our sponsor is The Stampman.

I decided to alter a canvas using some beeswax that I'd bought a few months ago and never used, I also used an Andy Skinner skull mask for the first time. The image and background paper are from the Gecko Galz August products.

Products

Image from the Gecko Galz The Art of Waterhouse Collage Sheet.
Background Paper from the Gecko Galz Life’s a Circus Paper Set.
Canvas.
Beeswax.
Melt Pot.
PaperArtsy Script Stamp.
Tissue Paper.
Black Archival Inkpad.
Dreamweaver Gold Embossing Paste.
Crafters Workshop Harlequin Mask.
Andy Skinner Skull Mask.
Star Sequin Waste.
Lace.
Olive Bronze Treasure Gold Gilding Wax.
Acrylic Paint.
Heat Gun.

I painted the canvas with the acrylic paint and stamped the script onto the tissue paper with black Archival ink.
I melted the wax in my melt pot and brushed some wax over the surface of the canvas, then I lay the background paper over the canvas and brushed some of the wax over it then I did the same with the image and tissue paper.
I then stencilled the skull, stars and harlequin using the gold embossing paste.
When the paste has dried I brushed some wax over the surface and smoothed the surface with myheat gun.  I then let some of the wax drip on the edges – when the drips of wax had set I went over them with the gilding wax using my finger. The last thing I did was to polish the surface with a soft cloth.

Thank you everyone that entered the Bingo challenge, Mervi will have a difficult time choosing her top three.

Have a visit to the Craft-Room Challenge Blog to have a look at the lovely samples that the DT have made.

Floral Twinchie

I made this twinchie for the Twinchie Challenge the theme is Floral.

For the background I use a piece of card that I'd coloured a while ago. I put some black ink onto the flower stamp and then tripple embossed the twinchie and stamped the flower into it before it cooled down, when it had cooled down I stamped the sentiment. The stamp is a Jofy stamp.

Two More Deco Pages

These are the deco pages that I made for Cynthia in the KCUK deco swap - the theme of her book is Vintage Travel/Steampunk.

The background was coloured and stamped with Distress ink, the two images were stamped with black Archival ink, I watercoloured the bus and edged the two images with vintage photo. I stamped the car onto shrink plastic and reduced the size with my heat gun. I embellished the page with a charm and staples.
The stamps that I used are.
Stamps Away for the bus.
Katzelkraft for the car.
Stampers Anonymous for the globe.
PaperArtsy for the gears and dots.
I don't know who made the collage stamp.

Again I coloured and stamped the background with Distress inks. I stamped the wall with black Archival. On white card I stamped the man on the bike and masked the man, then I stamped the wall over the image so that it looked like the wall was showing through the wheels. I removed the mask and cut the image out and adhered it to the background matching the two wall images. I added the sentiment, gears and charm.
The stamps I used are.
Katzelkraft for the man on bike, wall and plane.
7 Gypsies for the cogs and butterfly.
PaperArtsy for the dots.
I don't know who made the sentiment.

Hi everybody, I hope you are all well, before I show you my pages I must apologise for my lack of commenting - I've got behind again and hope to catch up at the weekend.

These are the pages that I've made for Anne in the KCUK deco swap - the theme for her book is Tea and Cakes.

This is the tea page. I covered the page with some teacup peel offs before colouring it with picked raspberry and squeezed lemonade Distress ink, then I removed the peel offs. I then stamped the background.
I stamped the main images onto white card and coloured them with Promarkers then I fussy cut them and adhered them to the card and added the sentiment.
The stamps I used are
Character Construction for the main images and background.
Papermania for the sentiment.

This is the cake page. I used the same coloured distress inks for this background and stamped some hearts. I stamped the cakes and coloured them with Promarkers and I also used glitter pens to colour them, I then fussy cut them and adhered them to the card, then I added the sentiments.
The stamps I used are
Personal Impressions for the cakes.
Molly Blooms for the hearts and banner.

Every Inchie Monday - Evil

As usual I'm late with my inchie for the Every Inchie Monday challenge, the theme this week is Evil. I've done an Evil Heart.

Eyes Down At The Craft-Room

It's time for another Craft-Room Challenge and it's the lovely Mervi's turn to choose the theme and she wants you all to play bingo.

This is what she has to say about the challenge.
Are you ready for the new theme, let's play bingo! Just pick your favourite three, make an entry and let us know what your choices are! Otherwise you can create whatever your style is.

Here's the bingo grid or Tic Tac Toe's!

Our sponsor is Sweet Poppy Stencils, who is offering the winner a Hollyhock stencil, pot of Stencil Dimensions Glossy White Paste, and a paste spreader.

We are looking for Guest Designers - if you would like to join us as Guest Designer, just put GD after your name when entering our challenge.

For my DT piece I have made a card and it fits two rows of the bingo grid, they are Blue, Flower, Lace or Blue, Rubber Stamping or Butterfly - I stamped the butterfly on the background but it doesn't show up very well.

I covered a square card blank with blue patterned paper and stamped some butterflies then I adhered some lace. I cut a square piece of blue corrugated card and spread some distress stickles over it, then adhered it to the card. I stamped the image onto white card and matted it onto a piece of blue card, then I put some staples in the corner and adhered it to the card. I added some gems.
The flower stamp that I used is a La Blanche stamp.

I'm entering my card in the Artful Times Let's Ribble Challenge.

We had some wonderful entries for the Embossing challenge, Suzanne will have a difficult job to pick her top three.
As usual the rest of the DT have made some fabulous samples and would love you all to take a look.

Clean and Simple

I don't seem to be doing much craft stuff at the moment so I thought I would start to show you some work that I've done through the year. I'm starting with a couple of CAS cards that I made for a KCUK Challenge.

For this card I used an aperture card to mask the front of my card blank, then I sponged it with Distress ink. I stamped the image and then removed the mask, then drew lines around the image.
The stamp that I used is a B Line Design stamp.

For the background I scribbled on an acrylic block with some felt tip pens and sprayed it with water then I stamped it on my card blank. I then stamped the image and sentiment with black Archival.
I use a Dina Wakley stamp.
